Cozy lake front home on Crystal Lake-Great for hosting!

We loved our stay and the great outdoor space especially. Only hiccup was that we had been told there were life jackets to use and there were not any available. We left a few items behind and the property manager kindly mailed them to use which was so appreciated! Would definitely stay here again!

Really great family stay at crystal lake for a family wedding. Comfortable beds and nicely appointed bathrooms and kitchen. Great fire pit and bbq area. Def recommend!

We encountered numerous issues during our stay. Just a few days in, all plumbing failed for a full day due to full holding tanks, forcing some to go to the bathroom outside at night in the rain. Toilets couldn’t be flushed, showers and sinks were unusable, and our contact spent the day coordinating with the manager, plumber, and septic service. We also had to address other problems—buying gloves to pull thistles from the beach/playground, cleaning a filthy grill, and leveling an unsafe dock ourselves. Outside, there was goose poop on the beach, no propane in the grill, and difficult to access the beach barefoot. Inside, beds lacked top sheets, laundry was left in the washer and dryer, coffee grounds were in the pot, vacuums were dirty, the fridge wouldn’t close properly, blinds were inoperable until we zip-tied them, and windows lacked screens. Trash had to be stored in the garage, creating odor. While the home’s lakefront location, spacious living room, outdoor dining area, electric firepit, and extra fridge/freezer were appreciated, the property was poorly maintained and ill-prepared for guests. The manager was unempathetic, offering no compensation until VRBO was contacted, after which we received only a partial refund of the cleaning fee.

We really really Lived the house. The neighbors were wonderful too. We were super disappointed with the weeds, weeds, weeds in the lake. No beach for the kids. We go to a lake so the kids can be in the water, but they didn't want to spend any time in the weeds. As for location. It would be nice if it was closer than 20 minutes from anywhere. But, we loved all our family time. With 17 of us the house was perfect.

We so enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. The beds and linens were comfy and ample seating for us all. Loved having 5 bathrooms and the kids and adults had fun playing darts and ping pong. Great fishing, even off the dock. Granddaughter didn’t care for the weeds in the lake but she was okay in her floater and the kids had fun tubing. There was plenty of outdoor seating so we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. The grounds and house were easy to navigate if you have mobile difficulties. The house was well equipped and beautiful! Great layout for a family with lots of extra space for kids to be able to keep themselves entertained.

We were seeking a lake property that had plenty of room for our family of four and son’s college age friends. We needed a location in close proximity to Detroit Mountain for skiing. We also required dog friendly accommodations. This property checked all the boxes. The property manager was responsive and great to work with. Easy check in. GPS directions led us right to the property. Beautiful, modern lake home. Loved all of the design touches throughout. Beds were comfortable. Loved the bonus space/ game room upstairs. Would return during summer months!

Excellent experience. The lake was clean AND quiet (very little boat traffic). Nice flat backyard from cabin to the lake (especially for the older people in our group). The cabin was perfect for a family gathering. Great open, spacious kitchen/family room. The 2nd floor bunkroom (with QUEEN bunks!!!) and the open tv/game room next to it were awesome. We were amazed that the fun upstairs (ping pong, darts, movies) wasn’t heard downstairs and vice versa (which was great). We had 20 in our group and never felt cramped inside or outside. Highly recommend!

Nice house with great set-up for kids! Weed removal improved lake front/dock area but was done mid-week which was unfortunate as we lost the use of area for most of the day. Freezer space is very small could use a second unit in garage. Boat launch access is easy to use and middle of lake great for swimming. Overall a great stay!
