THE NEIGHBORHOOD

I was born and raised in this neighborhood and have lived here from childhood to starting my own family and I spent my summers as a kid fly fishing the Cedar River. The neighbors are very friendly and welcoming and it's a neighborhood where people still walk around and visit the local park a block away. If you're up for a walk or a short drive there are a ton of great local businesses, fantastic restaurants and bars including a Brewery, antique shops, and parks. There are also major grocers in the area as well. What many may not know is Renton's rich history in the world from Boeing to Pacific Car and Foundry or Paccar as its now called, and all can be seen at the Renton History Museum, across from the Renton public Library that bridges the Cedar River. During August we are visited by the Blue Angels for Seafair, and in fall you can watch the annual Sockeye Salmon migration up the Cedar from the brick walk paths. This area has so much to offer you may not even make it to Seattle.

GETTING AROUND

The home is one block from a public bus stop heading toward downtown, or you can walk down into Renton to the Transit center and quickly transfer to the Light Rail trains. Public Transportation information will be in the house for your use. Uber is also an option and runs from $12-30 to down town Seattle and adjacent areas depending on time of day. There are also local and airport rental car services in the area as well.
DRIVING IN RENTON!: Renton has many one way streets please be cautious of the one way streets and signs in downtown Renton for your safety!

First question when considering this home, was asking the Host about a grill. Such a great Host that they bought one & then got supplies for it when we were there. Kitchen had basics. Beds were comfy. Will stay again!

This property fit our family needs of visiting Seattle daily. It is just far enough away from the downtown, yet close enough to get there in less than 30 minutes.

Nick and Vesna were great hosts! They were very responsive to our questions and needs. The house was very clean and well maintained. The property was exactly as advertised right down to the peek of Mt Ranier's peak if you stand in the back yard. There were a few extra amenities that one doesn't always find in a rental: plenty of coffee to use in the coffee maker, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, plastic wrap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. We appreciated the little things that aren't promised, but were there and didn't need to be purchased. The traffic going from Renton to Seattle or Bellevue can be heavy at almost any hour of the day. The express bus with a stop two blocks away that runs to downtown Seattle every 15-20 minutes was very convenient and easy to use.
