Cozy House on High Lake near TC!

Perfect for two people who want a quiet relaxing getaway, but also just close enough to down town and a lot of other places to explore. 10/10- we had a blast.

We loved our stay at this property which was conveniently located to Traverse City. The host communicated clearly with us and met us upon arrival. The property is very clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.

This tiny house was just what I needed for my conference at Grand Traverse Resort. The commute was short, and coming home after long days to the peaceful lake and dock was good for the soul. If you are a bike rider, this is super close to the VASA trails, which are great fun. Thanks for the hospitality!

An Impeccably spotless and well-maintained property! Wonderful hosts Mike and Maureen; had the pleasure of a nice chat with Mike one morning. Everything is first-class...fantastic HVAC and water system, crisp and attractive decor, and plenty of homey touches throughout, including an incredibly comfortable bed. Felt like home, only with more nature!

We had a lovely stay. The location was so convenient to Traverse City, but still felt remote and peaceful. It was too wet to sit outside, but the lake was beautiful. The house was just the right size for two. A spectacular home-base for leaf-peeping.

Me and my husband had a relaxing stay in this cozy house. Communication was great with the hosts. The house was very clean. Will definitely be back.

Peaceful and relaxing

Peaceful, serene getaway just outside of the hustle and bustle of Traverse City! Mike and Maureen are excellent hosts. Hoping to come up again when the weather is a little warmer to take advantage of the lake.

The cottage was very clean and well stocked. Maureen greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. The property was very peaceful and provided the much needed relaxation we were looking for.

Great experience for two people!

The small house was just what my wife and I needed for our stay. The location was convenient for our travels around the area. The coffee and snacks provided were much appreciated. We especially liked being able to enjoy our bottle of wine by the lake in the evening.

The lakehouse and the lake were the perfect setting for our trip to the Traverse City area. The location is perfect for visiting the many places that we enjoy year after year. Thanks to our hosts for a quiet and peaceful setting to relax and enjoy ourselves. We'll likely return.

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the House on High Lake. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. It is also in a great location, allowing us to see a variety of sites without driving too far. Mike and Maureen were very nice and were very helpful when a minor issue came up with the TV. We would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I stayed here & had a great time! It’s a nice and quiet location but conveniently located near everything in TC. We enjoyed coffee on the deck on the lake which was super nice. We also took the canoe out one night and the lake was so beautiful & serene. The house was clean & had everything we needed :)

Five nights. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Liked that it was on a quiet lake away from the business in town. Loved hearing and seeing the loons calling. Enjoyed some paddling on the lake and sitting on the dock. Nearby we enjoyed Peegeo's and ThatsaPizza. Had a great fresh pie from Groleau's Market. Very satisfied.

This cabin is great for any couple looking to get away. It had all the essentials for our weekend trip to see Sleeping Bear Dunes. You’re still close enough to the downtown core of Traverse City that going to the beach, going out to eat (we recommend Mama Lu’s for some amazing street tacos), or going shopping is no burden. However, you’re also far enough back that at the cabin you can truly relax, enjoy nature, and appreciate the amazing lake view. Mike & Maureen are great hosts, and for our next trips out this way we will try and book this stay again!
