Holland, Michigan
Nestled in the heart of the city of Holland, enjoy a reprieve from your busy lives and experience the community offered at this unique retreat.
This home originally operated as the parsonage connected to a local center city church and was eventually purchased by Brownson Properties as part of a mission to offer a welcoming space for all people to enjoy the City of Holland. After Jeannette, the owner of Brownson Properties' recent passing, her family has chosen to continue to host those looking to experience her beloved community as a legacy of her commitment and belief that 'God's intention is for people to love and be loved.'
Once you enter this cozy home you will enjoy peaceful privacy on the upper level of this brick, 2-story home. Spacious bedroom with hardwood floors and king bed offers a sunny view of the quaint Westcore neighborhood. A separate family room provides a space for reading, reflection, and conversation and is also equipped with a small kitchenette for late-night snacks and morning coffee. Though there is not a full kitchen, there are many amenities that will make your stay pleasurable. The common room is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, and a toaster oven. A full bath completes this floor. The outdoor patio is available as shared communal space on the lower level.
Plan your day exploring the unique opportunities Jeannette was so passionate about. Take a walk to Hope College, Kollen Park, the Civic Center bountiful Farmer's Market, and enjoy endless window shopping along the heated sidewalks found in the heart of the city. Kayak or hike at Macatawa River Greenway, take a short drive to Holland State Park, spend a day on Lake Michigan and look forward to a memorable meal at the wide variety of great eateries. Worship, volunteer, and reflect while enjoying a famous Lake Michigan sunset.
Build new relationships and a community you can come back to whenever you feel the need to restore and refresh. Jeannette created this opportunity with you in mind!

We enjoyed the quaint house. Eating at the house was a bit limited. coffee and tea was provided.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place in a beautiful and serene neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Holland. Your place was supplied with everything we needed or might have forgotten to bring such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tea, coffee, mugs and plates. We had plenty of space that included a sitting room and spacious bedroom. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Your place was clean and comfortable. My favorite place was Centennial Park with so many beautiful flowers everywhere.
Everything was very clean and well put together however it had little privacy ecspecially if there had been other tenants. We felt like we were visiting grama's house and felt as if we had to whisper and walk lightly on the creaking floor. It would really depend on yours needs if you were to stay here. It just wasnt what we were expecting. If you need a room only this is what your looking for. You will share bathroom and kitchen area if there are other tennants.
We had a wonderful time. Website description was accurate. Super clean, friendly and helpful staff
We had a great time in Holland and we enjoyed our VRBO well enough. It was cute, clean, and well located, but the bed which was extremely uncomfortable and the room was very hot, I barely slept either night we stayed. If I did it again I'd bring a nice pillow or comforter to soften the bed a bit and just plan for a cooler weekend.
I enjoyed my stay at this location. The inside was serene and peaceful and the neighborhood was quiet (and particularly beautiful in the spring with the tulips and trees in bloom). I would stay here again and hope to have the opportunity to do so in the future.
We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful upstairs loft. We visited during the Tulip Festival and the location was perfect. We were lucky to meet the owner and enjoyed visiting with him. Would recommend to stay in this beautiful neighborhood lined with tulips.
Had an awesome weekend getaway. Jeanette’s was clean, quiet, cozy and in a great location.
Great space, ease of use, and privacy.
