Get away from it all and come stay in this cozy Tahoma cabin for a relaxing Lake Tahoe vacation. Ideal for families, this rental is roomy, close to skiing, and within walking distance to the lake and in-town conveniences.
Located just over two miles from Homewood Mountain Resort, getting to the slopes in the winter will be a cinch. Likewise, in the summer, a short walk will get you to the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe and to town. And you'll be just slightly over a mile from Sugar Pine Pointe State Park.
This home is all on one level, making it an excellent option for guests with mobility issues. Step inside this inviting cabin-style rental and feel right at home. Get comfy on the sofa next to a toasty fire, and get acquainted with the area's offerings via the free WiFi. Slip a movie into the DVD player or stream one on Netflix, and make good use of the large flat screen TV.
The open floor plan makes traffic flow and the possibilities for connection between you and your guests possible, even when you're in the well-equipped kitchen preparing hearty meals. Make all your favorites or try something new, then dine together at the large table for eight. In the summer, whip up a delicious barbecue meal on the gas grill on the deck, and savor your creation outside in your beautiful forested surroundings.
When it's time for sleep, you'll have plenty of options for a great night's sleep. The master bedroom has a queen-size mattress and private bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen, and the third has four twin bunk beds, making it a great space for kids. There's also another full bath in the main hallway. And there's a washer and dryer in-house for your added convenience.
If you visit during the winter, access to skiing is made easy with Homewood Mountain Resort being just a little over two miles away. And if you want to branch out, world-renowned Squaw Valley Ski Resort and Alpine Meadows are about 15 miles away.
In the summer, let the kids ramble about in the back yard while you chill on the deck and let go of all the stress from everyday life. Take a leisurely bike ride on the bike path, which parallels W. Lake Blvd. for almost a half-mile, and soak up the sun. Hiking trails abound in the area, and Lake Tahoe is a short walk away where you can lounge and take in the grandeur of this stunning body of water.

Disappointed with some things not working around the house ,hallway bathroom cold water broke ,master bedroom shower head broken ,master bedroom bed makes a lot of noise very sensitive
We like the patio deck/bBQ area ,location and quiet neighborhood . Refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer works perfect, boiler etc. We don’t like that the weather was a little bit hot and cabin gets hot inside and they don’t have AC or extra fans in the cabin ,also beds were uncomfortable. Light fixtures wasn’t working correctly and we found and they need to fumigate more often for small cocaraches we found some on the kitchen counter top .
Nothing fancy. Just a place to rest your head when you are in beautiful Lake tahoe. The door is sticky...Really sticky. It seems locked when it is just stuck. And the pans in the kitchen are terrible...but who goes on vacay to cook? Everything else worked fine and it was an easy space for my family of four to relax. We walked to the campground several times. It's a significant walk but doable. And there were screens. I have sweated all night in fancier cabins that mysteriously didn't have window screens, but we were able to open up and cool down at night. I would stay here again
Unfortunately we were very disappointed. I understand rental “cabins” are rustic, we have stayed in several small cabins and seen many more first hand with friends/family. This house is in serious need of updating and upgrading, even for cabin. If you like dingy and battered on the inside with no useable space outside other than a minimalistic deck, this place is for you. If you want to feel comfortable sitting on a couch or having enough kitchen space and utensils to cook a meal, stay away. Bathrooms/showers were gross, random stains on bedroom walls. They offered hand soap for cleaning dishes, and dishwasher detergent for a non-existent dishwasher (one of many examples of the thought-fullness extended). We didn’t want our family over at this place when it was our night to host, I think that says it all. A suggestion to the owners: spend a few bucks and replace the furniture and carpets, they were either disgusting or in disrepair. For the rate we paid, you should be able to do this fun consideration of your future renters, otherwise this place is a rip off. We won’t be back here.
Very dated furniture, flooring, appliances, beds, bedding and bathroom. Was clean but felt dirty.
The worst rental experience I’ve ever had! My biggest complaint is that the beds were ROCK HARD, leaving us to head home from vacation with minimal sleep and sore bodies. One bunk bed had broken support and sunk in half way to the ground. One bed comforter had blood stains on it, two other beds had chunks of hair in them, and one bunkbed had trash, dust, and socks left under it, which was visible as soon as you walked in the room. Makes me wonder if they really clean this place. They listing also falsely advertised that there was a dishwasher and to contact them directly via vrbo. I never once was contacted back when I messaged them via vrbo. I got a check in text from one of their reps during our stay but when I informed them of the conditions of the place, I received no response. Very upset I paid as much as I did for this place. No one should be allowed to rent a place to people with beds in that condition and false info on listing.
Convenient to Tahoe ski areas. Good place for the price.
My friends and I went to spend Thanksgiving and were a great place to stay, have everything to cook, a grocery store was less than 5 minutes, the house is great for a big group, and we enjoy ourselves a lot in the house.
Nice little place with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Could have used a serving of coffee for our first morning. We left a can of Folgers for the next folks so they don't have to worry about the morning pot of coffee :-) Other than that everything was great.
Although it was nice it was a little Intimidating with the Electric wires, but it kept us safe. I thought their could have been more toilet paper with the amount of persons 2 rolls wasn’t enough.
The home was as described, a cottage right near Lake Tahoe. The area is beautiful and within walking distance to the lake. We had rain and no internet the entire time that we were there, as well as a community-wide power outage, but we adapted and had a good time anyway
There were some concerning problems with this place. To start, we couldn’t get the oven or the stove top to turn on no matter what we tried. We also tried flipping the breaker just to see if that was the problem but had no luck. Our second problem was the lower bunk bed. It was concerning to see cardboard under all of the mattresses but on our last night staying there a box spring broke while someone was sleeping so there is a bed half on the ground. Third, the step up to the front door is actually terrifying, PLEASE don’t stay here if you can’t make it up the front step, it’s like a 2 foot jump. On top of that it was icy so we had multiple people fall from just that. You would think they would read these reviews and solve these problems but they also have yet to communicate with us. This place is nothing more than just a place to sleep, and we couldn’t even do that without having problems.
