Stayed Nov 12, 2025Lisa is a great host anf the house is really nice. The big plus for us and why we picked this house is the big fenced in yard, our fur babies loved it. The location is great as well, close to all the fun stuff in Pittsburgh. We highly recommend Lisa and her rental!

Stayed Apr 26, 2025Lisa was communicative and went out of her way to get the house ready for us a bit early. Pearl the Welcome Cat was a delight and kept us both entertained and comfortable (she slept with me all night). The house was bright, cheerful, clean, quirky, cute, fun. We stayed one night after a concert @ The Roxian (~15 minute drive) and had a wonderful, comfortable stay. We couldn’t figure out the thermostat, but there were copious blankets, all clean, fresh, bright and warm.

Stayed Sep 6, 2023Very comfortable, clean, cozy, well-equipped place to stay that is uniquely charming. And Pearl, the outdoor cat greeter was a nice companion on the front porch while I had my coffee on a rainy morning (she seems to only come to you if invited, a very polite kitty!). Will definitely try to stay here again if I ever come back to the area!

Stayed Dec 31, 2025Lisa, the host was a wonderful host and communicator. She was very accommodating and responsive. We traveled with our 2 dogs - as it was cold and snowy, I loved that this place had a secure, fenced-in yard where I didn't have to go outside with them on a leash. I was able to bring the dogs in the kitchen and guide them to the bathroom to dry their paws from the snow. The place was welcoming and eclectic in decorations - it gave the place a lot of personality. The kitchen can get drafty, but we didn't have any issues staying warm with the heat and blankets - the bedroom was very warm each night so we turned the heat down.It took some getting used to the bathroom being on a different floor from the main bedroom, but we managed just fine. The bed was very comfortable for us and the bathroom was nice and updated. The kitchen had just enough to manage for a few days - although I struggled to find a pan where pancakes didn't stick to it. There are ample spices and Pam - just no oil in the cabinet. The neighborhood was an unknown area of Pittsburgh to us - although some surrounding homes are rundown or abandoned, we felt very safe going for walks in the area. It was quiet except for the dogs that live next door - but after talking with Lisa we learned more about the situation and weren't bothered. Instructions inside the place were simple, easy-to-follow - recycling and trash were easy to follow too. If we are in town in the future, we would consider this place again!

Stayed Jul 10, 2025We just had a brief stay in Pittsburgh and this house was ideal for us. It was cute, clean, and well equipped, but most importantly for us it had a perfect yard for our dogs. We will stay again when we come to Pittsburgh

Stayed May 31, 2025We had a fantastic stay. Our proxy host Pearl (cat) was so sweet. The house is adorable and very clean. We had absolutely no problems. Lisa was fantastic with answering each question. She made sure we had all of the information to make our stay almost like we were staying at home. She also made sure the ACs were on when we got there and information about turning the heat on if needed since it was pretty cold in Pittsburgh for this time of year. I would love to come back for longer and possibly bring my pup next time. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the house. I did take plently of the welcome host. Pearl does not live in the house, but she is welcome if you are willing. She is the sweetest soul.

Stayed May 16, 2025Location not in the best area. As we arrived in the neighborhood, it looked very rundown, and we did not feel comfortable staying here and ended up cutting our losses and getting a hotel. Communication from the owner was good prior to arrival.

Stayed Jun 7, 2024We arrived late around 12:30 am. It was dark, the directions got us there but I was really not sure about the neighborhood as it was a little sketchy. When I got into the house, and realized there wasn’t a bathroom upstairs near the bedroom, I opted to sleep on the couch in the living room because I have minor mobility issues and the steps are steep. I was concerned about falling down them at night. At approximately 3 am I heard what sounded like gunshots in the neighborhood and I couldn’t sleep because of it. I searched for a hotel nearby and we left after only being there for 8 hrs out of a two day stay. I didn’t ask the owner for a refund and I just cut my losses for my own safety and comfort. And my trip was almost a year ago so I’m not sure why I’m just now being asked to review. The owner was responsive and the home was beautiful on the inside but because of the location and the overall dislike of Pittsburgh, would not return again. Not the owners fault, just not my cup of tea!

Stayed Feb 21, 2025I was in town with my son for his college interview/audition. This place was super convenient:- easy parking- clean- warm- full kitchen (though we didn't cook)The owner was very available and responsive. But our favorite part of the stay was meeting the neighborhood cat Pearl. She was always around, and hung out with us. My son said if he ends up attending school here he'll want to visit Pearl on the weekends.

Stayed Jan 31, 2025I can’t say enough good things about my experience staying at this cozy home! Don’t let the outside or driving up the street fool you. This cute older home is very well kept, clean & cozy! I had my 18yr son & my Frenchie on this short trip and we were all comfortable! If you’re traveling with a dog, the home has a huge backyard that’s fenced in so it makes it easier to let your pups out to potty. Lisa is a very great, friendly, helpful host & very responsive to any messages you send, before, during after your stay. The location of the home is very convenient to downtown Pittsburgh and easy to get around. If I had to say anything negative it wouldn’t even be related to Lisa or something in her control. There is parking right in front of the house which is great but the street is a tight fit so you have to park a little on the curb (no big deal) but leaving/turning around could be tricky if you have a big vehicle. I have a smaller jeep so it was no issue for me, just thought that info could be helpful to someone with a bigger vehicle. But I’m sure if you went down the street there’s a way out where you don’t have to do a 3 point turn. There are 3 very curious dogs in one of the neighboring homes that barked a lot at night when my frenchie went out to potty but other than that I highly recommend this property!!

Stayed Nov 22, 2024I've been to Pittsburgh twice before this trip, but never spending much time inside the city itself. Having a spot that was clean, easy to access and cozy to come back to in between running around downtown and a wedding was perfect! Pearl was honestly the highlight of the stay- I dont think I've ever met.a sweeter cat. The property owner was so quick to reply with any questions I had, but honestly it was a hands-off stay, because they made it so easy from the start. Thanks for adding to a fantastic trip!
