Stayed Aug 28, 2025Avoid this rental. Our stay was the worst we’ve experienced. After following the extensive checkout instructions, performing extra cleaning as a courtesy, and paying the cleaning fee, the owner still withheld our deposit and charged a deep cleaning fee. Thankfully, the platform reviewed our claim and reimbursed us. After checkout, we received text messages we found accusatory and threatening, including statements about involving outside authorities. We felt this was a severe and disproportionate reaction given the minor nature of their claims. Several of their claims included issues that were already present when we arrived, part of normal turnover cleaning (I.e. crumbs, shower residue, soap usage, repositioned bath mat and nightstand decor, etc), or inaccurate (including a claim about a device that was clearly functional). The rental itself required extra cleaning by us before use, including outdoor furniture that had bird droppings, greasy grill, dirty kitchen items and indoor dust. We left the rental in better condition than we found it by performing additional cleaning as a courtesy. The owners’ claims were minor, unsupported and we found their messages to be intimidating, which created a deeply stressful experience and ruined our family vacation. We do not recommend this rental and strongly advise caution.

Stayed Jul 6, 2025The house is very nicely appointed and comfortable. Unique design. It is close to the lake and other amenities but pretty far from “the beaten path.” If you want calm and quiet, though, it was great. We frequently saw deer, quail, and other small wildlife. Property manager was nice and available if question arose. Would definitely consider staying here again.
