The place was fine other than two minor things. There were no directions about how to access the ponds to fish, no big deal, drove down the road until it wasn't posted and fished. There were several turtles that were most likely shot and left for dead that smelled horrible and no one caught a fish or even had a bite. So the stocked bass pond was a little bit of a let down. The house needs a water filter to kill the sulfer smell in the water, especially the hot, it stinks and is not pleasant to wash your face or shower in.

The pictures showed the lake as being behind this house, that was misleading as there was no lake behind the house. Road conditions were very poor the first day there but then the sand road was grated and it was much better. Communication was not good with the property manager. We asked multiple times if we needed a fishing license with no response. Unable to access the lake without trespassing on another property. Mattresses have lots of urine stains. Mattress need to have protective covers. Master bedroom bed was very noisy when sat upon or when we climbed into it. Loveseat arm was broken. Missing dinning room chair. There were only 3 chairs for the table on the back deck and there is a burn on the deck. Nice quiet neighborhood. House itself was in good shape and clean. Dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, laundry soap, and may other amities made the stay comfortable. All in all we were satisfied.

The property itself was good overall—clean, spacious, and exactly as described in terms of layout and comfort. We enjoyed the space, and the location worked well for our week-long Thanksgiving trip. However, the well water had a very strong sulfur smell during our stay. It was noticeable enough that we couldn’t drink or cook with it and ended up using bottled water for cooking and brushing our teeth. As a female with long hair, the smell was especially tough to deal with for an entire week. This is something that would’ve been extremely helpful to know in advance, as we likely would have chosen another property given the severity of the odor.I reached out to the host, who mentioned that the smell “tends to come and go,” but during our stay it was consistently strong and hard to ignore. If the water situation is addressed or communicated more clearly ahead of time, this would be a great place to stay.Additionally, the fishing pond was difficult to access. We had to walk several houses down through someone else’s property to get to it, and once there, it was too shallow for the kids to fish from the bank. The water near the edge was only about 2 feet deep, and we would have needed a boat to reach deeper water to actually fish.Overall, the home has potential, but better communication about the water and more accurate expectations regarding the pond would have made our stay more enjoyable.

Very quiet and relaxing. We were there for vacation and also to see family and work on our ancestry. Relaxing on the back deck grilling was so nice. Drinking coffee on the deck and watching birds in the morning is a great way to start the day. We would highly recommend staying here.

When we arrived on site, the condition of the road was as stated. It is a dirt road with noticeable use and is rough, but a normal 2 wheel drive car can handle this. We arrived to find a hanging vanity light in the master bathroom, I called this out to the host. Then, the toilet in the main bathroom would not flush, this appeared to be a non-water proof chain as it had rusted, I brought this to the attention of the host. I ended up going to the local hardware store to fix this since I did not want my children to reach into the tank to flush the toilet. We then found the laundry room floor was wet from the hot water heater inlet valve leaking, filling up the drip pan and leaking onto the floor. Though all this was brought up at check in, none of it was ever addressed. The house was what we needed and suited us well minus the minor issues. Also, this is well water and has an heavy sulpher smell to it and is somewhat reddish in color. We would stay again as we assume the host will get these maters resolved.

Check in and out was easy! The host stayed on top of my questions. They don’t really talk about how nice it is to sit out on the deck and watch nature(a deer came up!). So isolats
