Cozy cottage within walking distance of almost everything

The property was as described,very nice, homey feel. Beds comfortable,rooms spacious. Air conditioner was wonderful being 90when we visited. Nice outdoor space we enjoyed in the evening.

Location, location, location!!! This house is perfectly located, perfectly clean and I can’t recommend it highly enough - especially considering the reasonable price. We’ve rented it for a week each summer for a few years now and plan to rent it for a week next summer and late fall. Don’t hesitate to enjoy this house and all the surrounding areas.

Jessica is a wonderful host. She made sure we were taken care of. Before our trip she communicated all that we needed to know. She even brought us beautiful cut flowers from her garden. The house was clean and perfect for the four of us. Jessica told us before hand that we would have to park on the street so we weren't surprised when we arrived. It is not a busy street and that was no problem. We were within walking distance of many shops and the others we wanted to go to were really close.All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing, no problem time. We will stay with VRBO again. We can't thank Jessica enough.

The house was located within walking distance to downtown. Very clean, everything we needed was provided. The only negative was the bathroom light in the bathroom off of the living area, it hardly provided any light making it difficult to get ready

We loved the location of the property, it was super close to all the shopping in Shipshewana. The home was very clean, had everything that we needed for our weekend stay, and so much more. The communication with the host was so easy and they made it us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

It is a quaint cottage in a very desirable location. Fun to hear the buggies go by. Wish we could have taken advantage of the covered back porch area, but the weather was too chilly. A very nice trip!

The home was very cozy and clean. We enjoyed the environment. We appreciated the fact there was a washer & dryer present.

House was clean and the location is good. Linens were musty and the sidewalks and entrance to the house were icy and a bit dangerous. There was no salt available to put down.

The property was very clean and decorated very cute. It was easy to access and we had good communication with the host. Excellent location! We will definitely rebook when we come back into town!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was quite spacious and you can’t beat the location. A beautiful back porch and garden area. Very clean. Very quiet except for the occasional soothing clip clop of horse hooves. We did a little food prep and everything was there we needed. There’s a keurig that brews a pot or k-cups. We’re not complaining only suggesting mattresses could use an upgrade! My friend and I love books especially The Good Book and we loved the selection of books on the shelves! Two dining tables was nice. Thanks for sharing your grandma’s house with others!

A great location, clean, and not cluttered like other possible rentals. Not all the beds were comfortable, but they were sufficient a 2 night stay.

1. It was fine for what we needed. 2. The small step between the master bedroom and kitchen is dangerous…especially for someone with walking/balance issues. 3. The door frames of both showers had gross orange mold/mildew. 4. It would have been nice to know that the driveway was not available for parking before the day of leaving home to come there. 5. Bigger tv in living room and master bedroom would make viewing more enjoyable. 6. Air conditioning was adequate on first floor. We didn’t use 2nd floor because the steps were steep for us…again an issue for those with walking/balance issues. But the living room sofa was very comfortable! 7. The patio and garden/flowers were beautiful and very enjoyable….especially since I enjoy the same hobby! 8. The fresh flowers in the house was very thoughtful and beautiful! We hope our views/thoughts are only meant to help/improve. Thank you for having us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and two blocks off the main road (state road 5) close to the Blue Gate restaurant. Very quiet and plenty of room for our entire group. Both bathrooms on the main floor which was a little challenging for the ones that stayed in the upstair bedrooms but worked for our short stay. Definitely would stay here again on a future trip to Shipshewana.

This place was perfect for our mother daughter getaway. It was clean and comfortable. Beautiful outdoor space. Loved that we could walk all around town. Owner was helpful and quick to respond when I had parking questions.

We enjoyed this place immensely. It was clean,quiet and within walking distance to town and close to the bike trail. Jessica was very good with my questions and even had fresh flowers waiting on the table. The only surprise was that both bathrooms were on the first floor. It was just the two of us, as our friends couldn’t come so it didn’t matter. Lots of buggies and Amish culture to enjoy in the area. Very spacious place with 2 dining areas and a nice covered porch. Better than the pictures online!

Cozy but spacious, especially living room and two dining areas and a large covered deck area looking over the lovely flower garden; well supplied and clean with good communication from host.

We enjoyed how close it was to everything. This is a very nice, clean, Safe and quiet location. We will be staying here again on our next trip here.

Very nice home, worked well for six adults.Really enjoyed the covered deck in the back that we could plan our day in the morning and relax and recall in the evening. Our only concern at first was parking on the street but it was no problem.

This was the second time we stayed here, and it was just as nice this time. You will love the outside space.

we loved our stay here. If we’re ever in Shipshewana again we would want to stay here. It would have nice to meet Jessica. But in spite of the rain we had a good time.

The bike trail and shopping are so close. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with a great outdoor space to relax after a full day. The host is very responsive.

The home was clean and conveniently located near just about everything. We came for a quilt weekend and we did lots of shopping and sewing. The first floor bedroom is great. Two upstairs bedroom were very cozy, just some steep stairs to climb. The owner was very nice and quick to reply! Would definitely stay again! All the Amish buggies were quaint and fun to see!

Comfortable stay for our small group. Easy check in, but we would have liked some written instructions for appliances to be sure we operating correctly, especially the bedroom space heaters and the TV. Also, pay attention to the list of amenities and supplies. There wasn’t any soap for the shower or any ice cube trays, for example. When we did have questions and when we had a problem that needed attention, our host was prompt.

The location was perfect for all the downtown shops and attractions! Very quiet street and neighborhood. The property was so clean and cozy! Highly recommend!

We seen a concert and had dinner at Blue Gate Theater had a great time.

We stayed two nights in March. The house was cozy and in a great location relative to the downtown area. It was a very relaxing weekend with low stress and the clip-clop of the horse and buggy always in the background. We will stay again!

This house made us stay much nicer close to everything. Wish we was warmer. We could’ve barbecued steaks, but it was too cold beautiful patio.

We bring our sewing machines and have a mental health week enjoying each other’s company, a clean house and a beautiful community. The local shops are delightful. We are repeat visitors to this property. Highly recommend!!!

Steps to the 2 second floor bedrooms are VERY STEEP and you must avoid hitting your head on the low ceiling going down them. Cannot park in the drive which we don’t find out until 3 days before the trip, and tornado sirens sounded the one day but the basement of the house was LOCKED OFF and couldn’t be accessed. So we sat in the kitchen and waited out the storm Could get NO local stations on the tv
