Stayed Jul 2, 2022The cottage is well appointed, very clean and peacefully quiet. the backyard is a shared open space and this was the only draw back, I would have preferred a more private space, especially while using the out door shower. That being said, I would stay here again.

Stayed May 25, 2022Great location to explore this area of the Cape. The house is cozy and very comfortable. It feels like you are living in a screened in porch with lovely light and views of the tidal marsh where we kayaked. Orleans is near by and the best part was being so close to Rock Harbor beach where we saw gorgeous sunsets and walked the beach at low tide. Highlights for us: biking the rail trail to Nickerson State Park, the Lavender Farm in Harwich, the fishing pier in Chatham, and visiting the Edward Gorey house (if you like dark humor with amazing artwork- he was a genius). Kathleen from Beach Road Properties was very helpful with easy and quick communication. Highly recommend!

Stayed Sep 28, 2021The property was bright and airy-nice cape cod feel. Very comfortable and nice location close to bike trails. We enjoyed our stay. Was a little surprised that the tv cable package has do few stations!! Normally not an issue, but it was the end of the RedSox season. It was fine (we just listened to the game on line) but something to be aware of. Also, when picking up the keys after hours, it would have been nice if the address and directions included to unit number. With just 137 Rock Harbor Rd without the unit 7 info, we had to call the agent to figure out where the house was. Overall a great location and a great space for a couple! Thoroughly enjoyed the house!

Stayed Sep 17, 2020I would stay here again. It is centrally located close to the bayside in Orleans. Walking distance to boat harbor, although a short drive, Skaket has nicer beach. You can see the Rock Harbor inlet from the front of the property. Downtown is less than a mile to all the restaurants, shoppes, grocery stores, bike rentals, walking paths. There are two kayaks to use, but there was no real launching area we could see on the property. The home is on a private street with about five other homes. The homes are a little close to one another and parking could be a little tight for more than one car. This property appears to be recently renovated and they did a great job! The home is flooded with natural light, with numerous windows and skylight. There are blinds to provide privacy or block the sun. The home is very clean and welcoming! There is a large roomy kitchen/great room. There is a corner, inviting kitchen table, a very functional prep area, with up to date appliances and granite counters. An adequate pantry area to store additional supplies. There are wood floors throughout and well maintained. The one bath is very roomy, recently renovated, with a walk in shower and shelving for additional storage. The queen bed is very comfortable. The one bedroom has a wall closet with plenty of storage space. Glass doors let in lots of sunlight in through front and back exits. There is a stacking w/d in small alcove by back door. We will definitely consider this home to rent again next year!

Stayed Jul 4, 2020We loved this little cottage. The entry with beautiful flowers, bunnies and fire pit created a little nook of peace in busy cape cod as we arrived. The location allowed us to launch our paddle board and kayak from the property, walk to Rock Harbor and was central to everything we wanted to do in Orleans and Eastham. The cottage was clean, sweetly decorated and had everything we needed. Really high quality finish work. Great service by property manager. Would love to come back again!
