The cottage was well represented on the sites. We enjoyed the location we especially enjoyed the back porch and yard. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again!
This house was the perfect accommodation for our sightseeing trip to DC. It is an older but clean and well maintained home with thoughtful touches in a quiet neighborhood. I liked the ease of accessing the property with the keypad and there were some comforts of home like hooks on the backs of some doors to hang things, filtered water, hangers in the closet, extra blankets, blackout shades on the windows, and a nice welcome basket with snacks. We did light cooking while we were there and the kitchen supplies were adequate for that. All of the appliances were updated and functional. My parents were traveling with us and they opted to set up in the finished basement which has a pull out couch and bathroom. My family stayed upstairs with the three bedrooms and full bath. The floors are a bit creaky in some spots which didn't bother me but something to note if you are bothered by that. The metro station is not far from the house and we used that as our main mode of transportation to and from DC. I would stay here again and recommend the property and area!
In a nice quiet neighborhood (and the neighbors like it that way, so be considerate), this house was an ideal home away from home for our daughter's wedding weekend. Spotless cleaning was done. Ample towels, super comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen with toaster, microwave, two coffee makers, dishwasher, etc. Deceptively large, as the basement (with an entry/exit of its own), has comfy couches, big screen TV, washer/dryer, and a full bathroom. Great deck out back (lots of room) and quiet back yard. Location is a close drive to Bethesda center. You can walk the neighborhood, with a nice park around the block (2 tennis courts, basketball court, and woods to walk in), but can't walk to stores (true of lots of suburbs). Parking in driveway and on street. Highly recommend!
Lovely home. Very good location. Excellent communication with host.
This little cottage was perfect for our trip to DC. The owners were fabulous and even left little snacks and toiletries. Our daughter accidentally locked us out of the house, and they came over quickly and helped us get back in. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There were even games for the kids. It was close to downtown Bethesda with shops and restaurants. The Metro station was about 10 minutes away and convenient for traveling into DC. My only complaint- the wood floors were so creaky! There is no way to sneak around without others knowing. haha. That was only a problem at night after the kids were in bed, so it really wasn't a big problem. It was a great stay and we would definitely stay again.
Thank you for the wonderful stay, Van and Analou! You were the perfect hosts, and everything about the home was beautiful. We especially appreciated your thoughtful note and snacks, and your recommendation book of neighborhood walks and restaurants. The home was absolutely immaculate, and we loved the comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully updated, and it was helpful to have the washer and dryer available. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the back deck and our daily walks around the peaceful neighborhood. We would love to return… thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!
We chose the cottage for a family trip with my children, husband, and mother in law to explore DC and surrounding area. The house was precious, clean, and extremely well stocked! The owners included so many exceptional touches including using snacks and toiletries. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed the recommendations for food and grocery stores. The teenager ranked it the best VRBO we have stayed at to date! Many thanks to the hosts!
