Cozy Captain's Cabin with Easy Beach Access! The Captain's Place

A bar of soap to wash hands would have been nice

A little smaller than the pictures make it look. Some things weren’t working like the door to the bathroom and the dishwasher. NONE of the fireplaces would work, even with the “troubleshooting”, so it was a little cold using space heaters. Oven took forever to heat up and cook, but beds were comfy and the location is fantastic for easy beach access and a beautiful view.

There was a beach view from upstairs bedroom but not downstairs front room, etc. Hot tub was nice.

Home is fantastic with so much charm, about 20 steps to the stairs leading to the beach. Close to everything in town. We will definitely be staying again. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the world go by and the kids were on the beach everyday. A few notes, the heater in the lower bedrooms gets hot to the point we were worried it would set the white side table on fire. The top to the hottub is water logged and takes 2 people to pick up with out hurting yourself. The bbq is an after thought not cleaned or maintained, we didn't use it. None of these things made for a negative experience it is a great home, just a fyi to Meredith lodging and owners.

Cozy house. Great location. Hot tub was clean, private and comfortable. Never needed the heat during our stay so no comment about how the heating or cooling works. Kitchen well appointed with most things (no blender).Would definitely go back! A little info about the layout in case there are people with mobility issues- Lighting in the house is not bright and the stairs are the type typical to an old house. The only room on the main level is the bunk bed room. Upstairs are the queen and double beds rooms. Down a split level about 7 steps to the king bed.

Enjoyed our stay.

Some features didn’t work (fireplace, oven, upstairs tv, stove) and it was hard to get someone out to address them, but we did. The fireplace never worked again after he fixed it the first time. But overall super nice and cozy house, and hot tub was amazing.

We loved staying here. Definitely recommend it and we will for sure be back.

Very sweet, cosy, comfortable house. The beds were super, the kitchen well stocked, and we enjoyed feeling like we were tucked into a beautiful captain’s retreat. Great location. Close to everything, but down off the main drag so we were out of the mouse and traffic. Really enjoyed our stay.,

Came to stay for my mom's 79th birthday. Family from Idaho, Nevada And Wyoming came. The house was just perfect for the 7 of us. Loved every minute! What an amazing place! Clean, cozy and in the perfect location. We will be back!

Our family of 5 stayed in this home and will definitely stay here again. It was a spacious home with everything we needed to be comfortable. We loved having the hot tub after a day on the beach and the location was amazing! Thank you for a great week!

This home is in an excellent spot to hang on the beach with plenty of amenities and beds to comfortably entertain a group of friends. I had a wonderful time.

Place was perfect for a quick family get together. Close to the beach and to town and great family space to gather in evenings. Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were good size and place was very clean. Would gladly stay again!
