Cozy Cape Cod House - Stroll or Bike the Canal

This is a property on a quiet dead end street at the beginning of the cape. We stayed with friends and their kids . The owner is receptive and responsive to inquiries quickly .

The property is in a nice area and is convenient to the grocery and the northern beaches (10 Min.). The layout of the house is good for families. The pool is very nice and is heated. Everything was clean when we arrived. We had a very nice visit but the property is a bit tired. The doors leading to the sun porch and the pool house door both had issues and were hard to use. Simple issues like replacing broken blinds, cleaning the grill, mowing the grass, replacing light bulbs and replacing cracked moldings, etc. would dress up the place quite a bit. In addition we felt the kitchen was poorly equipped. There were no baking pans or serving bowls. We had to order items on Amazon.There was poison ivy in the yard and weeds in the front flower planters. It would have been much more welcoming had there been flowers there.Lastly, the propane was completely empty in the very dirty gas grill.I would give the physical condition a 3 rating.

We had a great time at this home, located not far from the bridge. House was spotless, fenced in back yard with pool was great. Great grill to cook with and nice fire pit in the back yard. The owner was very responsive and communicated frequently. Lots of restaurants and things to nearby. Plenty of room in the house, with an enclosed porch and a great tv in the family room. Bedrooms were spacious. Highly recommend!

Easy, clean, fun - perfect

The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how clean the house was. For being a dog friendly rent, you’d never know that dogs ever stayed there! It was spotless! We did have torrential downpours for two days, which unfortunately caused major leaking over a sliding glass door into a bedroom. We used towels and bowls to do our best to soak and catch the water, at the request of the owner. I’d imagine there will be a decent amount of water damage and possibly mold in the walls and floorboards.

We loved the pool and backyard! The convenience of not having to leave the house was key to a relaxing vacation. The open floor plan inside was great for hanging out, cooking, and eating. Plenty of room for both families.

During our July vacation there was a heat wave, so the pool was amazing- everyone enjoyed it. Close proximity to canal for biking was a plus and of course super close to Market Basket for all the vacation essentials. Driveway is a bit steep so beware if driving a small to midsize vehicle as going up can be tough on the undercarriage of your car.

We just stayed here with our kids, grandchildren and two dogs. The house was impeccably clean and ready when we arrived. It was a very hot week but the pool and AC kept everyone comfortable and cool. It was so warm we never had to turn on the pool heater. Everyone slept very well in the comfortable beds and we had several family dinners grilling and cooking. The back yard offered plenty of privacy and we enjoyed using the fire pit and making stores. Thank you for a great vacation.
