Cozy Cajun Creole Cottage 2 great for Workers close to Casinos

We were attending a dog show in Lake Charles they allowed pets and were accommodating. The house was clean and well kept. The neighborhood wasn’t the best but we had no problems with the location or the house. The property owner communicated very well! Overall we had a great stay and would stay there again!

The conditions of this listing is terrible!!! Please do not stay here!!!!! Let's start with the mouse feces on the bedding and on the kitchen countertops and appliances. When the issue was brought to light I was told to sleep in the other bedroom that didn't have mouse droppings on the bedding and they just can bring clean sheets. The bathroom had mold, and smelled like a urinal and had no electrical plugs. Speaking of electrical plugs the house is a dangerous fire hazard. The electrical socket they hide behind the mirror has a severely worn and is receptacle which can cause a fire at anytime. The mirror is used to hold the cord into the wall which is again a dangerous hazard to anyone staying here. The property was falsely advertised but according to Vrbo they didn't misrepresent themselves because they pictures displayed doesn't show the areas that were damaged & in poor condition. I was also told that despite having pictures of the mouse feces at the property since I didn't have a video or picture of an actual mouse at the property there's no proof of infestation. The listing originally had pictures of a washer and dryer but they have do not use written on white ducktape. I asked the host and was told to use at my own risk because they were left behind from previous owner. You should also be made aware that the refrigerator is directly outside the bathroom door so if you need to get something out the fridge and someone need to go to the bathroom one of you will have to wait. If you like having door handles to open and close doors this is not the place for you. The only doors with handles are the front door, back door and bathroom. If there's an emergency good luck opening the door unless you are on the side where the door can be pushed open. This was by far the worst rental experience I've ever had.
