Cozy Bungalow 2min to Uptown, CMC Main, Restaurants, King Bed, Pet Friendly

I have never in my 10yrs of using VRBO had to leave a poor review, but unfortunately this will be my 1st. Our group of 6 guests & 2 K9s arrived to the home during Hurricane Helene seeking shelter after a long 12hr drive in hazardous conditions. Entering the home there was an overwhelming aroma of marijuana, & the home itself appeared to be haphazardly cleaned. Muddy walls, hair in bathrooms, crooked picture frames, non-functioning lights...For the sake of a lengthy review, I will state it was as though the previous occupant(s) had just finished a party leaving very little time to clean or to clean at all. We found the door to the backyard to be unlocked, & upon further inspection found that the deadbolt was broken. We took the K9s outback to relieve themselves only to find loads trash strewn about the entire yard & the fence to be broken. The trash included kitchen utensils, broken pots, coins, & wrappers. The fire pit was also busted.At this point we did not feel safe, nor did we feel our K9s were safe staying here. Safety aside, we agreed as group the property was too filthy to stay in despite our fatigue & the late hour. I immediately notified the host of the property's condition that PM, & I only received a response the following AM after messaging again. He requested pictures to which I provided, & I now have not heard back for 3 days. Customer support has been slow to escalate a case. We are now out VRBO costs as well as hotel costs, & I expect c0mpensation & a r3fund.

The place was generally ok. Just a little grimy like it needed a super deep cleaning. We only stayed one day luckily

When we arrived the property was completely dirty, the bedding was completely dirty, it smelled, very bad we had to wash it ourselves and the bathrooms were completely dirty, we sent photos to the owner of the house to check at no time did we ask for refunds, simply that the owner I will try to keep the property cleaner. Please, don't come

I immediately contacted the host regarding the dirty property in disrepair. I filed a complaint with VRBO and Consumer Affairs. This property should not be rented to people.

The house was in a quiet neighborhood but inside was nasty. The floor hadn't been swept and the bathrooms were nasty and so was the beds. You could tell the shower in the master bathroom had not been cleaned in a while with the black slime built up under the shower mat there was also trash all over the floor in the bathroom. The beds had hair and weird stains all over the sheets. Also sweeping the floor I found acrylic fingernails all over the place. I feel like as a guest I shouldn't have to deep clean the house.

My friends and I loved staying here. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were completely stocked, and there was plenty of space for all 5 of us. An added bonus, the house was close to all Charlotte has to offer. Definitely would stay here again!

Property did not entirely match the description of the listing, but did have a few things going for it. Location was convenient, the bed was good and the shower was nicer. Other than that the place did not match the photos, and it was quite dirty, and missing a number of things shown in the photos. No smoke detectors, and the furniture was pretty rough, and did not work. TVs are great though, and the there is a yard, but it's still overgrown.
