Newport, Oregon
Our cozy cottage nestles you right in. My favorite place is sitting on the back deck feeling the ocean breeze and listening to the surf. Though we have a well insulate home with a mini split I prefer burning logs in the energy efficient wood stove. I love, love, love my morning and evening walks through the woods to the secluded beach below.
I stayed here for 13 weeks while working as a travel PTA at an assisted living facility. The check-in process was very easy and the hosts left a very sweet welcome card/gift. The house is so cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen had plenty of space and was easy to use. I felt very much at home, and it was a wonderful place to come back to after a stressful day at work. The house is very conveniently located in a little neighborhood right off 101, just far enough to not have to deal with the highway noise but close enough that it takes almost no time to get onto the highway to go anywhere. The neighborhood is well lit, so if I got home after dark and wanted to run, I felt pretty safe running in the neighborhood. It was also very convenient to get down to the beach if I wanted to run there during the day. At the top of the hill near the entrance to the beach path, there is also a really nice bench to just sit and look out at the ocean, which I also really enjoyed.
