Summary:

Perfect for families or small groups looking to explore the heart of Phoenix while having a quiet residential basecamp. This fully renovated historic gem offers a relaxing retreat after a long day of hiking, sightseeing, or remote work. Enjoy the perfect blend of vintage charm and modern outdoor living with our spacious turf yard and inviting pergola.

The Space:

✨ Top Amenities

• Fully fenced private backyard featuring a beautiful pergola and ample turf for outdoor games.

• Character-rich master bathroom highlighting a classic standalone bear claw tub.

• Convenient in-unit washer and dryer for extended stays.

Inside the Home

• Living Room: A cozy, thoughtfully furnished seating area perfect for unwinding, complete with smart TV access and comfortable couches.

• Kitchen: Equipped with a Keurig coffee maker and standard essentials for preparing quick, light meals before heading out for the day.

• Bedrooms: Three distinct sleeping spaces to accommodate your group. The master suite features a King bed, the second bedroom offers a Queen bed, and the third includes a twin over twin bunk bed.

• Bathrooms: Two full baths, including a master en-suite with the historic standalone tub and a second bathroom boasting a newly tiled walk-in shower with excellent water pressure.

⚠️ Honest Expectations (Please Read!) We want your stay to be 5 stars, so here are a few things to know before booking:

• Vintage Lighting: As a historic 1950s home, some rooms (specifically the master bedroom) feature dimmer, ambient lighting rather than bright, harsh overhead fixtures.

• Light Kitchen Prep: We provide basic cookware (a few small pans and essential utensils), which is great for breakfasts and light meals, but it is not a chef's kitchen outfitted for heavy, multi-course cooking.

• Sleeping Arrangements: While our maximum capacity is 7 guests, please note that the sleeping options are strictly limited to the beds provided.

Guest Access:

Self check-in is a breeze with a secure door code and keypad. The entire home, including the private backyard, is fully open to guests. Parking is available directly on the property, the driveway accommodates two vehicles.

The Neighborhood:

Located on East Alice Avenue, you will be staying in the Sunnyslope area of North Central Phoenix. This is an eclectic, revitalized residential neighborhood offering a relaxed vibe away from heavy downtown traffic. It is a quiet street that provides a great local feel while keeping you highly connected to the rest of the city.

Getting Around:

A car or rideshare is highly recommended to make the most of your Phoenix trip. Our central location means you are just a short drive from the best the Valley has to offer. While drive times will vary depending on the time of day and traffic, here is what you can generally expect:

• North Mountain Park & Piestewa Peak (Hiking): 5 to 10 minutes

• Biltmore Fashion Park (Upscale Shopping & Dining): 10 to 15 minutes

• Downtown Phoenix (Footprint Center, Chase Field): 15 to 20 minutes

• Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): 20 to 25 minutes

• Old Town Scottsdale: 20 to 25 minutes

Major transit corridors like Central Avenue and the 51 Freeway are very close, making it incredibly easy to navigate your way to any of these hot spots.

Other Things to Note:

• Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required for the stay. Please contact us to confirm the specific amount. This is fully refundable provided the property is left in good condition.

• Waiver Option: If you would prefer to skip deposit, you may choose a non-refundable damage waiver for a small fee instead.

Interaction with Guests:

Enjoy the privacy of self check-in. I am readily available through app messages to answer any questions and ensure you have a fantastic stay.

The house was about 2 blocks from where my daughter lives. It was really convenient that it was so close.

There have been some changes made since the photos have been taken. The living room only has 1 small couch. The main restroom has black tile, not the white tile pictured. The laundry room/bathroom has 2 areas on the ceiling that look to be access to the attic. The wood in the openings is smaller than the opening, leaving a gap around the board. There are no electrical outlets we could see in this bathroom. Large bedroom, bed very comfy, but missing multiple pieces under the mattress, with loose pieces that would fall out if sat on wrong or through the night. The curtain rod is ready to fall off the wall with a curtain that barely fits the window. We had to use a hair clip to hold it closed at night. The mattresses on the bunk beds were VERY thin. Patio: only 1 light on the string lights work. The trash cans were over half full when we arrived. Upon arrival the house temperature inside was 80 degrees.

Overall a solid place although it is very small! Better if you just want a home base not as much if you plan on spending a bunch of time there
