Stayed Jul 11, 2025We recently stayed at the treehouse when my niece was performing at the Interlakes Summer Theater in Meredith. We were only there for a long weekend, but we were very happy with our stay and can recommend it without reservation if you’re looking to stay in the area.TLDR version:The treehouse is a very unique property and the listing describes it accurately. I’ve seen other reviewers that said the photos don’t do it justice. I wouldn’t go that far, but they definitely don’t oversell it (as so many listings do). Everything was very clean and very functional, and the space was both open and cozy at the same time. My wife loved sitting on the day bed in the windowed nook and could have spent a week there. The pictures show the bed in the loft as twins, but we had it pushed together as a king, and it worked perfectly and was very comfortable. The area is very quiet and peaceful; the only price for that quiet is that you’re about a 20-25 minute drive from pretty much anything. So if you’re looking to be in the heart of everything, there may be better options. The only caution I would share is the shower. The listing does note that it is small, but that really can’t be overstated. Think RV sized shower. I’m 5’8” and 165lbs and it was a tight fit even for me. The tub is very small, and the shower curtain constrains that space even further. We were able to make it work, but just be advised, it’s more functional than luxuriant. We would def stay here again.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025The house is clean and cozy, as are the grounds around it. It is located in a quiet area. The beach is a short walk down the road, (5-10 minutes), for swimming and canoeing. There is a fire pit area, and a place to hang out under the house, with tables, chairs and a tv. Abby is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Stayed Sep 6, 2024The treehouse is a true one of a kind gem! Every detail of the treehouse was thoughtfully chosen from the decor, to linens, and comforts you would want for a cozy retreat. We enjoyed the day bed (epic naps), coffee on the deck beneath the trees, and peaceful relaxation in the woods. The perfect unique destination to celebrate 10 years of marriage. We can’t wait to return!

Stayed Jul 27, 2024The listing is very accurate so if you look at all the pics you will know what to expect. It's pretty fantastic. It is about 25-30 minutes to Weirs Beach or Gunstock or Bank of NH Pavilion. It is very private and you look out the window and see branches and leaves- you are in the canopy. Birds are chirping outside your window if you are in open-window season, as we were. The only negatives are those that you you would expect from a treehouse and I raise these only for those who might not think of them. There are two flights of stairs up to to the front door so if you are in some way limited in your mobility it is not a good fit for you. The steps up to the loft are a bit steep and I would worry about very young children navigating them without supervision. There is not a ton of space for storage so someone staying a long time or groups of more than 4 could find that a problem. Shopping and restaurants are a 25 minute drive so maybe bring in your own supplies in advance. The shower is small, like really small, but we considered that part of the novelty of living in the trees. Having said that, we were just a couple there for 2 nights and it was perfect! The sense of privacy and simplicity, and yet all the amenities, was superb! We lacked for nothing. We enjoyed the TV outdoors under the house and there were almost no bugs. We had all the pots and pans and dishes we needed to cook for ourselves and eat outside. We used the gas grill as well. The place is great!

Stayed Jun 23, 2024This was our first treehouse experience and let me say that it has set the bar super high. If you’re looking for an amazing and private experience, then the Cozy 4 season treehouse is the place! The furnishings are meticulously thought out, making the experience truly unique and personal. The property is magical with plenty to do without ever leaving. We enjoyed the beach, watching t.v. underneath the treehouse, sitting by the fire pit, and really enjoyed grilling and eating on the deck while looking into the woods. It seems like everywhere you look there’s something new and interesting to find to make your experience special. I really can’t say enough good things about this property and its owners (Abby and Justin), and we felt like we were staying at a five-star private resort. We will definitely want to return!

Stayed Feb 9, 2024I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and my two kids (4 years old and 6 years) and it was perfect. The kids are already asking when we can come back. They slept in the loft upstairs which they had their own twin bed and then we had our own bed downstairs that tucked underneath the loft so it stills feels private. It’s a great layout. The property also feels very safe and isolated too with plenty of lights so you don’t have worry about the kids falling. It was ideal getaway that the kids won’t forget.
