Cozy 3B/1B Home in Government Hill near Downtown Anchorage with Mountain Views

The home was so clean, warm and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with quality cookware and utensils. We even were visited by a baby moose in the yard. Loved it!

This is a great place and close to downtown Anchorage. It was clean, nicely furnished, and has as a well-stocked kitchen. Communication with the owner was easy. Would highly recommend.

Hosts are incredibly understanding and responsive. I highly suggest honesty and communication when regarding any plans you have for your stay because Alan and Portia are understanding people.

Just what we needed for our 2 days in Anchorage for 5 of us. Host was attentive and checked to make sure everything was ok and it was!

My family and I stayed at this residence for a week long trip to Anchorage and it could not have been more perfect for us. The house was clean, well kept, and had all the amenities you need at a “home away from home”. The location was ideal with a drive to downtown Anchorage being only less than 10 minutes. 10/10 recommend!

We were using this place as a jump off point for our family Alaska trip, and it did not disappoint! It was close to all of the stores (grocery/outdoor) that we needed to buy from. Also, hiking at Kincaid Park during low tide was a GREAT experience!

We had a great stay! Convenient location for sightseeing! Comfy beds and hot showers! Washer and dryer super helpful after an adventurous week in Alaska! All (very minor) issues were addressed super quickly and communication was great! Definitely recommend this nice home!

My husband and I, his momma and her best friend stayed here for the bight before heading to Denali. The house has been lovingly updated and is stocked with everything we could need. We only stayed one night, but would definitely book again. Beautifully clean, wonderful location, and great hosts.

If I could give this place a 10 out of 10 I would! My family and I booked this location for the last two nights of our week long visit to Alaska! This was the perfect place for us! The home was extremely well stocked with supplies and necessities! It was very clean, cozy, and conveniently located! Alan and Portia are first rate hosts! When I reached out to them with a question, they responded immediately. We forgot a jacket in the washing machine and Portia contacted us me offered to mail it to us. I would highly recommend this location and plan to re-book for our next visit!!!

Everything was as listed on the site. Very clean and the host was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back on our trips to Anchorage.

Our only hiccup was that the door locks automatically; don't step outside without your phone if you haven't memorized the code! Fortunately, our neighbors helped us contact Alan and Portia and the issue was resolved in minutes.

This beautiful home was perfect for our visit to Anchorage. It didn’t feel like we were in the city, it was in a very nice neighborhood. This property is exactly as stated, very clean, and most of all very comfortable.Our granddaughter was competing at the 3A State basketball level. After sitting in a gym all day, it was nice to come home.I would highly recommend this home to all my friends.

The was a great home for our family’s trip. It’s located close to downtown, has plenty of parking, very clean and well stocked. Alan, the owner, was very responsive to our questions. I would highly recommend this home!

Stayed 2 nights and this was a great location. 4 beds were perfect for 4 friends, and the kitchen was great for being able to make meals. Underrated quality of any rental is actually having condiments and seasonings!Super convenient for going north or going downtown

The house is so easy to get to from airport and not far from downtown. Very quiet neighborhood. The house was beautiful and super clean. The host directions were perfect. Will definitely book here again when I return!

This home was the perfect place to stay for the Christmas vacation while visiting family. The home was exactly as described and very cozy! Roomy for our family of four with lots of room to spread out. The heated towel rack was cozy to warm up the towel when we got out of the shower! Owner very receptive in offering to come over to shovel snow. Goddies in the home was so nice for welcoming us into the house! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

The owner accommodated my sensitivity to perfumes especially in bed linen. The place was clean. I could only get one burner on the stove to work, but I didn't communicate that with the owner. The listing was a little misleading for it was advertised as a house. I was picturing something like a standalone, but it was more like a townhouse where another rental was next door. I could hear the people on the other side while I was in the masterbedroom. I was hoping for peace and quiet especially at night. Overall the place was nice, but not what I would have picked. They should have disclosed it as an apartment.
