Nelson, British Columbia
The walkout suite below our home is in a sunny and friendly neighbourhood.
Enjoy Lakeside Park and its beautiful beach, playground, walking trail and tennis/basketball courts within a short walk. This is great because the parking lot can get busy in the summer. The grocery store is also around the corner and you can find coffee shops, restaurants and hiking all within 5-15 minutes.
There's a small bbq outside with a couple of chairs to enjoy the big Willow trees and view of Elephant mountain across Kootenay lake.
After a day of exploring, sleep soundly in the spacious king sized bed with organic cotton sheets and linen covered duvet. There is also a single bunk and a pull out couch available.
We do live above the suite and so you may hear us walking about. There is also a train track behind the house and most of Nelson hear's it run once a day. We have had guests comment on enjoying hearing the train.
Absolutely beautiful little suite in a lovely character home, close to amenities by foot, and a 25-30 minute walk to town. We walked every day and loved it! Lynne and Mark were lovely hosts, and truly enjoyed their company and the beautiful back yard. We sat out there in the mornings and afternoons. Would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Lovely quiet garden suite accessible to downtown
I will definitely stay again when we come to Nelson. The unit has huge windows overlooking the beautiful backyard and it had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Be sure to check out the Au Soleil Levant bakery and the Black Bear (translated from Spanish) coffee shop when you're in Nelson. Lynne was so helpful and available for anything we needed.
Enjoyed walks to & around Lakeside. Easy access to grocery store & trails. Lovely & quiet street/area to truly relax & unwind. Many thx to our hosts!!
Lovely location, and welcoming host. Highly recommend!
We stayed at Lynne's place for the Canada Day weekend. It is the perfect location to walk to all the activities in the park. Not to mention it's about 2.5 blocks to the DQ! The suite is really quiet, a train went by one evening and with the door closed I couldn't even hear it! There are the occasional expected creaks from being in the lower level historical house, but overall quiet and peaceful. The photos do not do this lovely gem justice! It is bright and clean! (the summer sun comes right into the bedroom, so if you are a late sleeper, a sleep mask will be your friend). There are serval nods to the historical age of the house. Old exposed beams, repurposed heritage doors, very charming. Lynne obviously cares about her guest's comfort and experience. It is much larger than you think. And I was happy to see the recent addition of a small stove. A good variety of kitchen tools, dishes and cutlery. Perfect! We also took advantage of an optional bunk area just off the bedroom. My 5ft10 teen boy fit comfortably and loved having his own space. The King bed is luxurious! The bedroom is spacious. The towels are plush! Lynne has though of pretty much everything a person could need. The afternoon sun warmed the front room slightly, but not uncomfortably. We found keeping the fun yellow door closed during the day helped to keep the sleeping areas basement cool. Would recommend and would stay again if the need arose.
Very comfortable apartment.
We had a great stay. Lynne was very accommodating and helpful. Lovely hosts. We would definitely stay again.
I stayed for a couple nights while driving around the area hiking and planning future trips. The hosts were great and the property is nicely appointed and a great place to relax after a busy day. The bed and linens were ex ellent. Short walk into the center of town where restaraunt abound. Nelson is fabulous !and I will be back
This VRBO in Nelson is a great place to stay. It is roomy, the bed is very comfortable and it is well-appointed. There is a large picture window overlooking the back yard with a beautiful willow tree. The weather was great, so we could sit there and enjoy the view in full sunshine. There is no TV, but we had books to read an work to do, so missed it only a little bit. We highly recommend this place.
My husband and I had a blast here in Nelson, BC for our 3 day weekend. This cozy suite was perfect for our needs and affordable! The owner lives upstairs and was very hospitable. We would definitely stay again if we come up this way again!
Had a great stay, beautiful suite and great location
