Host communicated early and provided necessary info for the home. We were also surprised with a grocery bag full of items for a complimentary breakfast. The house is older and needs a few updates but was clean and spacious. Kitchen missing aluminum foil for cooking but all necessary pans, baking sheets and plates/utensils were there. We were there in the the winter so not able to enjoy the deck or check out any trails.

Perfect for our family over a long weekend. The outdoor deck and grill were great. The host left breakfast in the refrigerator to get us started (appreciated). Too bad we didn't get a chance to have the fire, it looked great. The tv had the sports channels we wanted. Good location. Host is very good with communication and the property is as described. There were books, games, and the view from the kitchen table out the picture windows was peaceful!

Our stay at Grandma's house was as nice as you could ask for.TIm, our host, was super friendly, unobtrusive per our wishes, but readily available if needed. Comfy beds, comfy living areas, nice yard and deck. Tucked into the woods so it was peaceful and quiet.Very close to town but with a rural feel to go with it.The house was well stocked with linens, games, kitchen essentials--whatever you might need. We were even provided with bacon, toast, and eggs in the fridge for our first morning's breakfast: that was a nice touch! Thanks for making your family home available to us, Tim!

My friends and I had a great stay here. While the interior of the home has not been updated since it was built, the furniture, floors and even the walls were spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. It is obvious the owner cares a great deal for the property. It is located very close to downtown Traverse City while still maintaining a rural and secluded feel in the woods. The property is large and has plenty of room for parking vehicles or entertaining friends & family. Furthermore the owner was willing to accommodate me when I had to push the check in and checkout time. If i had one grip about the property it was only that the water pressure was somewhat weak which made it a little difficult to take a shower. With everything considered you would be very hard pressed to find better accommodations for your money. I would definitely book this listing again.

This cozy country home near Traverse City was the perfect mix of peaceful and convenient. It felt like visiting Grandma’s place. Quiet, charming, and full of comfort. We loved the spacious yard and private patio. Despite the quiet setting, we were just minutes from downtown, beaches, wineries, and restaurants. Inside was clean and thoughtfully stocked, with comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The host was kind, responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Great house, very cozy for our family of five plus dog. House has everything we needed to cook our own meals and is not far from town. Tons of books, puzzles, and other games for around there. Close enough to town to easily do things, but far enough to be quiet. Tim was a great host. Very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. Would stay again!

This property is called grandmas house and it does not disappoint. Everything is cute and vintage but super comfortable. Great spaces for hanging out and enough beds to have a group. Back yard was perfect for the pups and location is close enough to town to be convenient! Would recommend to anyone

Great location. Close to everything but not in the busiest parts which I appreciate as I’m looking to get away from that when I head up north. Quiet and wooded. Would stay here again.

The house was as expected based on the description and reviews, and it met our needs. It was fairly outdated and smelled a little musty, but it was clean. In particular, the bathroom was somewhat updated and very clean which was appreciated. The outside areas were great and spacious. The host was super nice and helpful and very responsive.

Tim was an excellent and responsive host. He had everything we could ask for ready for our stay, even down to providing firewood and kindling in the fire pit. The location is a quick 10-15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City. The yard was really pretty and it was a peaceful setting. The house might be a little outdated but it was clean and comfortable and cozy. The only negative we had was that I didn’t realize it didn’t have an AC unit, just a fan that would circulate cold air from the basement through the house. We had a couple of warm days where it was over 80 in the house. Thankfully we spent those days out at the beach and it would cools down enough for us to sleep comfortably with the windows open. For the price though, we had a really nice stay and would recommend.
