Welcome to Wind Ridge Herb Farm. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful historic, Victorian farm. Just minutes from Rockford, Machesney Park and Beloit, the guesthouse is ideal for couples, friends, families or professionals seeking safe, private and quiet accommodations. Conveniently located near I90, Pierce Lake and Rock Cut State Park, great golf courses and biking, restaurants and shopping, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Nicholas Conservatory and Hard Rock Casino are all nearby. If interested, guests are welcome to learn about our growing operation and can also visit many of the farm animals.
Nicely renovated little century old farm house. Cozy, clean, and quiet. The location was perfect for visiting relatives in the Roscoe area. The property is so beautifully kept with lovely views of the bucolic landscape and the owners are a delight. If we are in that area again this will be the first place I look for to stay.
Nice farm guesthouse. Great communication from the time the reservation was placed until we checked out. Thank you, Tony and Liz.
Highly recommend
Lovely farmhouse surrounded by beautiful gardens and verdant rolling farmland
We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. Hotels were booked so I searched VRBO and found the guest house at Wind Ridge Herb Farm and I'm so glad I did. By far, the most peaceful and quiet accommodation we have ever had, and the house is spacious. We were able to wander around the farm enjoying the gardens and animals in the fields. Tony and Liz were more than happy to give us a tour of their barns and let us meet the farm animals. They were very accommodating and ensured that we had everything we would need or wanted, including breakfast! We would definitely return to the farm in the future. Loved it!
We loved our stay at the farm! The hosts could not have been more welcoming. My daughter loved meeting the animals. The house is cozy and comfortable. It was very hot when we visited but the air conditioning kept up. We loved the location because it was quiet and remote but close enough to be able to go into town for a meal. One thing worth mentioning is that the queen bedroom in the attic was up a steep set of stairs with no banister. It wasn’t an issue for us but it may be for others. We hope to visit again.
We had a very relaxing stay. The weather was perfect to sit outside under the lovely trees. Tony showed us around the farm and the kids loved playing in the yard. Short distance to bike trail and Rockford sights. Madison zoo is only an hour away and free. We also took a day trip to beautiful Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, Wisconsin which was 45 minutes from the farm. We enjoyed our stay very much. The Shanks Family
We had a little lovely weekend. The house is located on an idealic farm surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was very peaceful and serene. The house was comfortable and met our needs. It was well decorated but not at lot of things we had to worry about our 1.5 year getting into. Great experience.
The property was quiet and cute and the hosts are very kind.
Our family had a wonderful time at Wind Ridge! The property is beautiful, and the location is ideal -- less than 15 minutes from a beautiful state park, an apple orchard, a pumpkin patch, and downtown Rockford (and more, I'm sure!). The farm house is cozy and has everything we needed, and the hosts were wonderful! They were warm and welcoming, and even introduced us to all the animals! I especially recommend this place to folks traveling with small children. Our daughter loved exploring the property and interacting with the animals, and the hosts provided a travel crib, high chair, and stroller! Would definitely stay here again!
Gracious hosts and beautiful property! We had a group of 7 and there was plenty of room. The kids loved the animals.
Wonderful property and hosts.
As usual it is just a wonderful place to stay and relax
Thank you Tony and Liz for a very enjoyable stay at your farm. The gardens are beautiful and the guesthouse was everything we hoped it would be. Thank you for the farm tour and the opportunity to meet all the animals! We had a great time!
It’s so relaxing and restorative to stay here…. Completely quiet and private. Loved the farm setting. The house itself is very gramma in furnishings but I was looking for a sweet place to bro g my grandchildren so that was fine!
This is my daughter and I second time staying at the farmhouse and won’t be the last Tony and Liz are wonderful people
