This was near to where my daughter’s family is moving to in Marshall, so it was a very convenient place for us all to stay during the moving process. It was comfortable and homey, very nice!
This house is cute and cozy. It was lovely to come in from the cold and have the gas fireplace keeping the house toasty. The photos give an accurate idea of how big the rooms are. The only minor problem we had were the cooking utensils (knives were not sharp enough to cut, not a lot of dishes, etc.) so if are planning on doing much cooking at the house you may want to bring a good knife and other supplies. But overall I recommend this house and would stay here again in the future.
What a wonderful place to stay.
Very nice place to stay.
The Country Cottage was the perfect place for my friend and I to stay for a few days. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. The location was close to everything we had planned for the weekend, and the area was quiet. The cottage was SUPER clean, quaint and very comfortable, complete with a well equipped kitchen for cooking. We enjoyed the deck and back yard...star gazing, grilling, and having our dinners and morning coffee. The booking process, directions, check in/out process, and overall owner communication was stellar! We will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this excellent home for your future getaway! Thank you!
The cabin was cute in the mountains-not many houses around. My daughter and I didn’t feel safe at this cabin. There were no deadbolts on any of the doors and the slider was installed wrong-only one small locking latch and you could not place a board in the door to secure it. We realized the windows would not latch to lock either. We left the cabin and called management about the windows at 11 AM. We waited until 6 PM to see if they could fix the windows. We were told they could not lock the windows, and they do not require deadbolts on any of their cabin rentals. I then made hotel reservations. About an hour later they told me they could come out that night, but I had already booked the hotel room and couldn’t get a refund. And I didn’t feel safe without any deadbolts. They would not give me any type of refund and proceeded to call me a liar about the windows. I am sure their response to this will be different with many excuses/reasons…but they are not an honest company. I rent from VRBO many times a year, and this was my first very bad experience. Also this cabin says it is dog friendly but it will cost you $200 per dog to stay. And the cleaning fee was super high compared to other cabins I have rented in the past-just an fyi incase you don’t read all the fine print. I will never rent a cabin from Yonder again.
We were in love in this beautiful home and in the area. House was spacious, clean, perfect for our family with two children and two dogs, we took long walks around the property it was peaceful and the neighbours were friendly. We would love to come back soon!
This was a perfect mountain cottage, beautiful views right around the corner. The kitchen had most everything we needed, although a large covered frying pan would be nice but we managed without it. It was a little far from tourist activities but we got to see turkeys and deer almost every day and took carrots to the horse at the bottom of the hill. You should really get a hand rail on the rock stairway. That's an accident waiting to happen. All in all, we loved the place and would highly recommend it.
It was extremely clean and centrally located to hikes and visits to Asheville. Very close to a grocery store as well which was great. The cottage itself is a lot of fun and the ping pong table in the basement is a great touch.
We had a very nice trip. The house checked all the boxes with providing everything that our family needed. Only thing that was a little tough was property was on the top of a mountain so it was rural and took awhile to get to anything.
We had a great time at the Country Cottage. The house was exactly as pictured and described. It was great that we could include our pet on our vacation, and that the property was close to my daughter and all sorts of activities. We will definitely stay again. Thank you ?
