Country Cottage Apartment - Entire 2nd Floor (UPS District - N Tacoma)

It’s was so cute and close to camps!

The owners were so kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond with providing basic breakfast foods for our first morning in, and even offering a ride to the concert venue. The property was beautiful and neighborhood was quiet. The place was super cute and quiet, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and charming decor (such as string lights and flowers on ledge by stairs leading to upstairs apartment where you stay), super clean, comfortable bed, FULLY stocked kitchen (including breakfast goodies), kind and easy to communicate with host, lovely landscaping, easy walk to University of Puget Sound. Would happily stay there again!

Lovely property!! We loved every minute we spent in this charming cottage!!! It was large, beautifully decorated, and a wonderful place to spend time! I wish we could have spent more!!! We had a great stay. The space is very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you might need. Described online as a kitchenette, but it has all the appliances, including a small range for baking or cooking. They even had breakfast goods in the refrigerator, including yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, coffee and English muffins so there is something for breakfast the first morning. Also, the neighborhood is very quaint. Will definitely be back!

Very welcoming. There was a breakfast set up for us when we checked in. Very well maintained. It was quiet and the house was off the main road so there was littlw traffic noise.

This place is an entire upstairs of the house with two large bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. It has a very nice sitting area. It is very well appointed. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, I would highly recommend this VRBO.

Wonderful hosts

This was a beautiful, comfortable haven! It was well-stocked with everything we needed, the space was quiet and homey, and the hosts were incredibly kind. It was our first time staying in a place with a shared entrance, and I was a bit nervous, but the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome without ever imposing on our personal space. As a bonus, the beds were the most comfortable any of our family has ever slept in! We will definitely stay here again soon!

Kathleen and David are the perfect hosts! Very friendly and hospitable, helped in any way they could to make our stay most comfortable. The upstairs apartment is luxurious and in good taste, very private, clean and with all amenities provided! Kathleen had food in the fridge in case we hadn't made it to the store, but the cottage location is conveniently located near stores and restaurants.

Best hosts EVER!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by our hosts andinstantly felt welcomed. Kathleen took us upstairs and took us on a tour of ouraccommodations, offering explanations to our questions. They say love is in the details and, ifthis is true, we felt well loved. Anything we needed or wanted was provided by our thoughtfulhosts. The accommodations were beautifully decorated, giving us the feeling of being in atranquil cottage. Dave and Kathleen’s green thumbs gave us a beautiful yard filled with thriving,colorful landscaping and a quiet, peaceful patio with a waterfall fountain and more plants,creating the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy pastries and mimosas! We will DEFINTELY beback on our next trip to Tacoma!

Great place to stay in Tacoma.

I stayed for 6 days to visit friends and relax. The space is very large for 1 person and can easily accommodate more. No noise from downstairs at all. Very close to dining and shopping.There are a couple of windows in each room without curtains. If you are light sensitive, especially in the summer, you may want to bring an eye mask.The window air conditioners in each bedroom are excellent. You can set a temperature and set it to auto. There is also a great breeze if it isn't super hot Would definitely stay again!

Kathleen and Dave were perfect hosts. Location is perfect very close to Puget sound university where my daughter attends. Would definitely stay there again.

Wow what a lovely property set in beutiful gardens and quiet area. Very spacious and comfortable and spotless. Little things like the breakfast items in fridge were a nice touch. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. All in all highly recomended.

Spacious, well-appointed and quiet. Beautiful neighborhood with historic homes and mature trees. Downside for me was too firm of a mattress in the larger bedroom. Super hospitable owners, although we rarely saw them.

Have never stsyed in a rental that had a shared entrance. It worked beautifully. These folks are very accomodating snd the space was perfect. The kitchen is small but very functional. I. fact it was much better stocked than big houses we've rented before!

We stayed in this charming home located in a wonderful neighborhood near the University of Puget Sound, not far from the delightful Proctor District. We felt very welcomed and comfortable, with the owners readily available and helpful with suggestions.

The space was bigger then we expected and we'll furnished. It was very comfortable and clean. Nice hosts.

This is a wonderfully quiet and spacious upstairs unit literally a few blocks away from the entrance to the University of Puget Sound. The hosts were warm and welcoming and we very appreciative of the coffee, tea, creamer and other breakfast items left for us -the perfect touch for the road weary traveller. If our son chooses to attend UPS, we will happily stay here again.

Quick trip to visit my University of Puget Sound student. Everything about my stay was lovely. Host even stocked up on breakfast items because I was arriving in the late evening!

Enjoyed our stay this weekend! Everything was a breeze. Kathleen and Dave are super friendly and keep the place well stocked. Comfy beds, spacious upper floor, and many extra touches on creature comforts, like some light breakfast snacks and coffee to hold you over while you get situated. Will definitely keep them in mind for future stays!

I just completed a stay and it was wonderful. My son and I enjoyed the apartment and all the great amenities. Location was fantastic near 6th ave and Proctor. Highly recommend!

I 10/10 recommend this stay. The hosts are kind and communicative. They have very clear instructions on how everything works. The apartment is sooo cute, I’m obsessed with it. They had snacks and some breakfast stuff in the fridge for our first morning there. If you’re looking for a place to stay, this is it.

This house is a stone’s throw from UPS. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves. Spacious two bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Beautiful flower gardens. Close to restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay again when in Tacoma.

The house was super clean and well stocked. The hosts were available but never intrusive. Just lovely stay and we would highly recommend. The location is right by all the cool things to see and do including restaurants. Delightful

The unit was very comfortable. The kitchen is nice, and our host had a few snacks for us, and a few things in the refrigerator, including coffee creamer, which I had forgotten at home! So thoughtful! Beds were comfortable. Living room couch a bit old and we sank far down in it. The place even smelled nice!

We enjoyed the spacious upstairs layout, beautiful gardens, charming decor & special touches like the twinkling light displays as well as the hosts’ thoughtfulness ( yogurt, bagels and sourdough English muffins waiting us the first morning after we arrived) Lovely location, just a stroll down to The University of Pugent Sound.

We spent 2 nights at David & Kathleen’s home and just loved it. Access is easy, and you have the entire second floor of their home to yourself. Bedrooms and bathroom are spacious, beds extremely comfortable, 2 TVs, and kitchen and refrigerator are well provided. This VRBO is also located in a safe neighborhood just 2 block from the University of Puget Sound. If we visit the area again, we’d love to stay again!

Just stayed one night but wished we could be there longer. The rental unit, the gardens and the patio were really comfortable and lovely. Clearly, a lot of thought and care went into the design. The harmony of colors and design elements inside was really striking, and having coffee on the patio, surrounded by flowers and happy bees, was sublime. Kathy made the check in easy, and was a gracious host. Great location, especially if you are there to pick up/drop off/visit a UPS student, as we were.

My wife and I were in town for several days to visit our kids and grandkids. Our stay at Country Cottage was perfect. The hosts are very accommodating, great communicators, and super pleasant people. The apartment is quiet, nicely decorated, and super comfortable. Highly recommend Country Cottage! Will definitely keep this place on our radar for future travels.
