My children and I had a nice stay in the house. It’s a good price for the amount of space and proximity to the beach. It was nice that there were ample cleaning supplies available in the kitchen, as well as ample pots and pans to cook with. The beach carts and beach chairs were also appreciated. The bathrooms were clean. Amelia promptly responded to any questions I had. However, I would only recommend staying here if you are comfortable with a lower level of cleanliness. Unfortunately since I was traveling as a single mom with kids, it did not occur to me to take pictures of the bugs on the kitchen counter, stains on the bedroom quilt, dirty insides of the coffee maker, and filthy potholder and kitchen mat. I spilled a little water on the kitchen mat and dabbed it up with a paper towel, and the paper towel came up yellow. Ew. (It was not ink or dye, the mat has no yellow in it.) I do not mind that it is an old home, but some things could be done to make it feel more hygienic and clean.

Loved the old cottage appeal. The roof leaked in den where TV located. I e-mailed for owner to know. The yard mainly in the back needs attention. Needed a can opener.

The house is very reminiscent of the older homes of Edisto. We felt right at home and if you grew up going to Edisto, you will too. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Just a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

An older place that reminds me of my grandparents' house in the 70's. I'm not as picky as some and it was fine for us. It doesn't have beach view, but close enough to easily walk there.

A group of college friends and I got together to celebrate turning 50. The house was perfect for the 4 of us and we loved the location. Everything was clean and neat and really has that cozy cottage feel. Would recommend!

Terrific location and space for my sister, mother, and little ones. Host was prompt and helpful in communication and answering questions. We hope to come back again.

Old shore house.....priced accordingly.....close to beach......good contact with owner.

Definitely not as listed. Duct tape covering holes in the tile in the kitchen. A rug covering missing flooring from the kitchen to the dining room. Looks like a rat had chewed through a cord in the bedroom with the crib, the light over the bed. There was mold in the master bathroom over the tub. I told the host we were checking out early, they said they were sorry and would give a partial refund. It's been 6 days an I have yet to receive the check they said I'd get. We shall see if I actually receive it. I would definitely never consider staying here again. I wish I could post pictures and videos to show you. Please take my word for it and find a better place to stay. My 4 year old and 9 year olds wanted to go home early. They've never asked to go home early from a vacation! I sure hope the hosts mailed the check to halfway make it right.

Relaxing and uneventful.

Very old and we were flooded and without power. In the interest of good business management. I feel we should be extended some type of compensation.

My family takes my mom to the beach yearly. We have been staying at this rental for several years. It is a cozy home that is walking distance from the beach. A perfect distance for my mom who has knee pain. The area is very calming and relaxing, away from crowds. Will be back.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed here. We will be back. Our only problem is that the stove doesn't work.
