Stayed Apr 29, 2025This house is beautiful and spacious, and was the perfect size to accommodate five adults. The backyard garden is absolutely gorgeous with a little Casita shed and the hot tub. This home backed up to a gorgeous little park and the flowers in the backyard were so beautiful. All of the people that stayed in the home were very comfortable and the water pressure was great in the shower. I stayed in the ground floor bedroom and opening my window looking at a palm tree was so pretty. I can’t recommend this property enough. We will be back!

Stayed Jul 18, 2024We really enjoyed the park just behind the house for my grandson. It has a nice playground and is a comfortable walk. The hot tub was a great feature, in this climate you can really enjoy it. Being only 10 minutes from the beach was fantastic. We enjoyed Lido Marina, Balboa peninsula and so many other things in the area during out stay. The house could use a few updates as many things seem period specific to when it was built. One great thing was the bathrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs share a jack and Jill bath while the other bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom. This was perfect for our party of 5 plus 18 month old. Remember, this property has no AC, while it would have been nice to have, we really didn’t need it.

Opportunities for improvement: - Make sure washing machine is in good working order before guests arrive. - Leave plenty of kitchen trash bags. - Consider less-squeeky beds upstairs. (One of my buddies said it was difficult to sleep becuase it squeeked with every move.) - Leave more avocadoes on the tree out front (JK)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great house!!!! This house is beautiful with open and airy living spaces. The living room furniture is much better than in the pictures, with large comfortable L-shaped couch and matching large couch. Backyard includes patio with teak table and 4 chairs and great bar-b-cue. The house was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen opens to family room and then french doors to patio. Kitchen does not have pyrex baking dishes, which would have been nice at Thanksgiving and was missing a coffee maker, but owners immediately delivered two brand new coffee pots and were overall very responsive. Only negative were the single beds in two of the upstairs bedrooms....they were a bit uncomfortable and did not work so well with our two adult children. Location is excellent on quiet street and short drive to beaches. Highly recommend this rental!!!!
