Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was very satisfactory and was definitely a good bang for your buck. However the house overall could use some updating and some maintenance to bring it to a 5 star. Loved the amount of windows and the screened in porch was a bonus. Loved the lot beside it as well. Hot tub was closed for unknown reasons but still was able to have a good trip regardless.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved staying at Lori's Lair and found our stay quiet and peaceful in Kinnakeet Shores. My family enjoyed the closeness to the Club Vacasa pool, as well as Food Lion and the Avon Pier. The house was perfect for our family with plenty of seating in the living room, and we enjoyed using the dining room table for game nights. The side yard was an added bonus, the kids loved playing football and volleyball in this space.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The kitchen was fully equipped and the carports were nice to be able to do what was needed out of the sun. The hot tub didn’t work, there were hair balls on the steps, the air return was so dirty it had an inch of dust on top and the furniture was uncomfortable. We have been staying in OBX for over 20 years. Every now and again we get a house like this.

Stayed Sep 23, 2023Spacious house. Great overall. Nice furnishings. Hot tub was very very old and didn't work. Mold around the faucet in the hall bath but didn't affect our vacation at all. One of the nicest I have stayed in over many years in our budget range. Will stay here again.

Stayed Sep 9, 2023Lori’s Lair, was a beautiful and relaxing home away from home. The location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do! This home was very “family friendly” as it provided many things for small children (babies) such as high chairs, booster seats, and even a Bumbo Seat, as well as a pack and play. Decorated with such “beach style”, made being at the beach for older people who didn’t get out on the beach everyday, still allowed them to have a total “Beach Experience” We loved it and would like to stay again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Loris Lair is nicely spread out to allow for 5 couples to enjoy the stay while still maintaining privacy. The cleanliness of the house is impeccable and the BEST we have experienced in Avon for the last 10 visits! The only downside is that there are only 2 bathrooms, but close friends can manage this. We are already looking to rebook Lori's Lair for future stays!
