Narrowsburg, New York
Built on top of a 100yr old stone barn foundation, this house has a wonderful spirit - mellow and relaxing and sunlit. It sits on top of a hill and the windows open to treetops in the forest below. It is on a secluded village street - close enough to neighbor's for comfort when it gets dark and quiet at night, but still tucked away and tranquil. Make a fire, lie in the sun. Sleep outside, by the fire. Watch the stars. Read a book. Write a book.
Walk to to the coffee-shops and restaurants on Main St, swim in the river, then come back home, light a fire in the backyard or turn on the fireplace and read a book.
This is a creative house, designed to inspire and comfort the spirit. It emphasizes art, books and love for cooking.
This house has it all -- relaxing spot surrounded by nature yet walking distance to one of the liveliest towns in the Catskills. Great amenities with many different outdoor spaces to use in the front and back yards. Highly recommended!
Great house in great location, with just enough nature but close to town. Highly recommended!
Absolutely beautiful home and perfect location. Host was thoughtful, communicative and helpful. We can’t wait to return!
This place has it all: wonderful, comfortable home; quiet, wooded area; close to town and shopping. This was my second time, and we'd go back again. Highly recommended!!
Angel’s house & property are incredible. Truly has to be seen to be believed. It is clearly so meticulously decorated & designed, yet it feels so effortlessly “Narrowsburg”. We are annual visitors to the area and hope to book again.
We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property The house is loaded with personality and charm Located close to town yet so peaceful and serene. The hosts are extremely accommodating and are available to answer any questions which might arise.
Angel's stylish home in the trees of Narrowsburg does a fine dance between a carefully curated personal taste and a relaxed, nature-inspired coziness. The pictures don't really do it justice -- you will find yourself smiling at all the personal touches that pop out at you when you spend time just looking around -- but the description of this as a place devoted to peaceful and creative inspiration is accurate. The warmth of the fireplaces, the rustic charm of the countryside kitchen, the perfect little ledge from ivingroom-into-garden where we had morning coffee in the sunshine... it was just the right way to disconnect from city life. Also, Angel was terrific with communication -- always with an immediate response to any question and lots of solid local tips. Thanks for a lovely stay in your special home!
Overall, this place was very nice. The office and fireplaces were bonus features that were much appreciated during the pandemic (we were working remotely while there). The property is pretty and connects to a wooded area that was very lovely (especially since we brought our dogs). The location was convenient to the quaint (although gentrifying) town of Narrowsburg and some pretty hikes. Nice touches were the barrel of stuffed dog toys that our pups had fun playing with. The downsides are the following: - The dishes, pots/pans, and silverware were FILTHY when we arrived. I mean caked on crusty food. This may be a result of the high end dishwasher, which is finnicky and doesn't actually clean the dishes, but whoever cleans between rentals should definitely clean the cooking and eating supplies (especially in a pandemic). - During our stay, people showed up to the property 4 times. Twice because the owner wanted to check his security system and twice without giving us notice. 1 of the times I was in the shower and a repair man let himself in, the other a man came to refill the propane tank and my dogs were off leash in the backyard. Seeing as we were only the 2nd rental, I hope Angel improves his communication and schedules visits around rentals to respect renters' privacy. - Comfort: The furniture is mostly futon cushions on top of wooden benches and are not very comfortable. The fireplaces are nice, but the only (very powerful) heat source and we were instructed not to turn 1 of them off - making it very difficult to regulate the temperature and often it was very hot or very cold. - Missing key everyday conveniences. We are coffee drinkers and there was no coffee maker. There was a french press, but no grinder. There was no nonstick pan - making cleanup ve
We truly enjoyed our stay and will miss this place terribly! It’s walkable to downtown and the farmers market. The outdoor space is peaceful and the kitchen has everything you need. My favs though: perfect space work working + the gas fireplaces. We will definitely be back.
