We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful home. Very comfortable and well stocked - had everything we needed. We loved the front porch! Sat out there every morning and night. Fun area with a lot of classic homes. We would definitely book this home again.

House is great

Location is great. House is awesome. Appliances were new and plentiful. We could hear beeping from the traffic light outside, but that is expected in a city. Temperature control was great. We loved having a piano. The primary bathroom was amazing.

The host was very responsive to all messages and any questions that we had! The house was wonderful, very large and spacious with plenty of room! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

The house is great! Everyone got their own room. The recording studio and game console gave us some entertainment. Lots of space for food prep and dining.

Large beautiful home with so much potential! We stayed two nights in this home in Independence MO with a group of friends. We ate dinner and walked around in the downtown area on the evening we arrived. Walked the neighborhood and nearby church grounds in the morning and then attended a game at Arrowhead. The house is pretty cool. The kitchen is updated and the porch was a nice spot to sit and enjoy the weather.

This was our second time staying here, and again, we had a fantastic stay! Plenty of space to spread out, great directions for arrival, departure, the alarm system, etc.! Perfect for our large group.

The house was amazing. Lots of activities for my family in the house. Host was nice and had great communication.

The house is beautiful! We enjoyed the space and the kids loved the TV set up and studio in the basement. The kitchen was over run with ants. Not just a couple of ants, hundreds of ants. It made cooking very difficult. They would climb on your knife when you were chopping vegetables or up your leg when standing at the stove. When I contacted the property manager he basically said there was nothing to do about it. Very disappointed.Also, there were only 2 kitchen towels with no others to be found. No extra bath towels either.Overall the house is great, but if they dont get the ants under control it will be very difficult to continue renting it out.

My family with 4 adults and 4 children stayed at the house for a long weekend. The house is very cute and plenty of room for all of us which was great. We loved the family room and music area downstairs where we could all hang out together. The kids LOVED the instruments. There are some things that could use work. The locks on the main doors do not feel secure, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen which I messaged the host about and never received a response. The water pressure in the showers of the two king bedrooms was awful (basically no pressure at all), there is black mold on the inside of the closet doors in the little girls room on the top floor. I messaged the host with another question during our stay and they never responded to either message. The neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. While the house was very cute and spacious, I don’t think we would stay there again.

We only got to stay 1 night, but the house is very nice with lots of space. The recording studio downstairs was awesome

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Easy to find, parking with full sized trucks was a little tricky but plenty of space inside and out! Appreciated the abundant room to spread out with a party of 7! Thank you for the quick response to assist in getting checked in!

Wonderful place.

My friend and I brought our kids for a spring break get away. We loved having extra room to spread out! We enjoyed being about 30 mins from downtown. Our youngest child was 2, and we were thankful she’s completely fine on steps, as there are a lot! We enjoyed having a big kitchen and dining room to have family dinners at the end of our days.

There were five of us ladies staying for a long weekend. We hadn’t seen each other in 39 years! The house was so lovely and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. We had a few kinks to deal with but the property managers were super fast in responding and everything turned out great! We were close to the Square, the Truman Library and the Truman home, all of which we toured. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Sure! Here’s a more fun and creative twist:Blizzard Blair 2025 may have snowed us in, but we couldn’t have been ‘stuck’ in a better spot than Temple View! With endless fun for the kids, plenty of space to stretch out, and all the comforts of home (and then some), it turned a snowstorm into a cozy adventure. If you’re ever in the KC area, this is the place to be—blizzard or not!

We stayed the night for New Year's Eve. It was a beautiful house. The main floor was great, everything was well kept. The bedrooms were comfortably decorated and the beds were great! We did struggle

Although the weather outside was frightful, the mood inside was so delightful. We had no place to go it so it should have snowed. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!Imperceptibly the evening slowly dialed down the light. All the flora seems to smolderWater-coloring into the muted pallet of the night. This must be paradise.

The home is beautiful and has wonderful accomodations. The house was decorated with Christmas decor and a huge Christmas tree which made the whole experience that much better. Everyone that attended had nothing but praise for the house. Only minor concern was a little issue with the door key code at check in, but the host resolved the issue within minutes. I would highly recommend this home.

The house was a great find and close to our destination! Kitchen, toilets, showers/bath were clean, however the carpets could use some loving! Trim and walls were beat up, other than that, exceptional!! Had a weird wasp problem! By the looks of the wasps, looks like they might have just sprayed! Would recommend staying here anyway!

Only negative was we couldn’t get in at 4:00 and had to contact the host to reset the door code which delayed us 20-30 min and we were in a time crunch but the house was beautiful and very unique. Very clean and comfortable.

Home was as advertised. Was really impressed with the comfortability of all of the rooms. For such an older home it had modern accommodations! On an extremely warm weekend even the upstairs bedrooms stayed cool making for a good nights rest. The only thing I would warn is that there is no main floor full bath or bedroom. We were traveling with a 92 y/o for a wedding but she was extremely comfortable on the couch. Communication was great when needed , but wasn’t needed much as everything was there.

The house was charming… all 3 floors!! We were looking for something from Harry Truman’s era. It was perfect! It did show some signs of wear, but only added to the “old-ness” that I was looking for. We totally enjoyed our time in Independence! Great place to visit!

8 girlfriends spent the weekend in the city to go see a concert and a Royal game. We had a wonderful time. thank you.

The house was a lot bigger than i thought, room for everyone to gather as well as have their own privacy. Very clean and accommodating!

Very comfortable for resting and catching up with family members. All our family loved the house. My son did take a cold shower when he decided he wasn’t going to get hot water on the third floor.. It took a while on the 2nd floor.

4 adults and 4 children/3 of them teens stayed here for one night on our way to Yellowstone. We went to a KC Royals game and enjoyed every minute. The boys could have stayed here for a week! Love the history and location to ball field!

Our stay was very comfortable in this beautiful home! The home felt “like home” with more than enough amenities for our group of six adults. The location was perfect: walkability to downtown Independence and short drives to the baseball stadium and museums in Kansas City.
