Community Pool And Gas Grill- Southern Charm By Royal Destinations

We loved our week stay in the Watersound community. The house was beautiful and there was plenty of room for 6 of us. We enjoyed biking to the beach and the quietness of the community. Location was ideal between two of the busier towns. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Upon arrival, there was a small issue with a toilet, and they sent someone to address it right away. The home was well stocked with everything needed for a week. The floor plan was perfect for two families with plenty of space. And the beds are extremely comfortable. A note for others... the beach access from this neighborhood is private and as such there is no chair service. We had a very unfortunate experience with LDV (the concierge service recommended by Royal Destinations). Just be aware they will book you chair service, but it is a quarter mile up the beach on a crowded public beach.

The only thing I would suggest is some additional bikes. Staying in this community really does warrant bikes for everyone due to the distance to the beach. We’ve stayed there for years and always loved how quiet & quaint it is even on a holiday week. Another bonus is that the beach is private so it’s never busy which is amazing!!

We have stayed in Rosemary, Watercolor, Seacrest, Seagrove, etc and this is by far the most peaceful. It's gated, on the southside of 30A, has a great bike path to the beach (which is never crowded like Seaside, Rosemary, etc), and is just extremely quiet. The house is about a 1/2 mile to the beach but it doesn't feel like it. You can ride your bike all the way there in no time, or drive and park at the pool if you want to walk and it cuts the length in half. The house was gorgeous, clean, with comfy beds. Two adults on main level, with 5 teenagers upstairs, so it never felt crowded. The only downside was the access to the outdoor shower. We always biked home from the beach and you can't access it from the front of the house, only the rear, which is not quick to get to. Just make sure you rinse everything off at the pool before going to the house. There are also large bushes in the middle of the drive, which you will have to push your bikes against if you have two cars parked in the drive. The neighbors just have river rock in their middle space between the cars, which would have been great. Would def rent here again, though! Management company is great!

I fell in love with water sound west beach. We owned a home in watercolor for years and I LOVED this neighborhood so much more. Easy beach access just a bike ride away and the lovely neighborhood pool was beautiful and a few blocks away and plenty big for my kids. What I loved the most was even In the middle of spring break (which can be CRAZY) the neighborhood was very quiet. My 9 year old had no trouble riding her bike around and I wasn't the least bit worried about traffic. Highly recommend. We are very familiar with 30A and I would recommend this house to anyone I know looking for a place to stay. If you WANT to be in the middle of Seaside or Rosemaryl, this is not the place for you. It's drivable but its a haul on a bike. But if you want a place thats convenient to a lot (the HUB is very close) and quiet and beautiful this is the place for you.
