Steve is a great host, very communicative and quick to respond. The home was nicely located near Cheyenne Mtn and we enjoyed the proximity to Helen Hunt Falls. There is a window AC unit in the dining room and they provided several fans to help circulate the air. We enjoyed seeing a deer in the front lawn on our last day!
Great location and fit our family of 5 perfectly. Everything we did was within a 10-15 min short drive. Home is very clean and well stocked. We cooked most meals at home and had no issue. Steve was very responsive to all our questions. Our kids especially enjoyed seeing the family of deer that visited the home each day.
The house is older than it looks online. The driveway is pitiful and needs fixing. Very narrow and rough uphill.
The property was clean and conveniently located to multiple areas of interest. Steve replied quickly to any questions. We would stay at this property again.
This property was our first stay on a 2 week adventure through Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. The description and pictures of the property were EXACTLY as described. Steve was a very attentive and prompt host when we had a BBQ grill need.
Location of the property was homey feeling and close to downtown. We felt safe with the extra driveway gate. The host was responsive to our requests.
This property is in an excellent location and was perfect for our family of 4 plus pup! Property manager has excellent communication and is very friendly/helpful. We enjoyed zip lining in Manitou Springs, visits to Helen Hunt falls and hikes at Stratton open space. We drank coffee/tea in the morning on the porch and enjoyed watching the deer up close. Hope to stay here again when we visit the area!
We had a fabulous stay at this home. It was clean and the owner has great communication and was very accommodating. The location is so close to many tourists attractions. We had fun watching deer in the yard. It was nice to have items like shampoo, coffee filters, paper towels, and many other items provided.
Has everything you need in a great location. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning watching the wildlife. The host is great with communication and is very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
The property was clean. The rooms are small but sufficient for what my sister and I needed for our stay in Colorado. We did not have any issues with check in or check out. Having access to a garage to park our vehichle was a bonus. The location is close to the Garden of the Gods and the Broadmoor.
The property was conveniently located to attractions and hiking trails around Colorado Springs yet gave you enough privacy to relax and unwind at the end of the day. The front porch was a great place to chill.
Enjoyed our time in this cozy home. Steve, the host, was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating. House was clean and had all the amenities needed for a week's stay. The central location of Cheyenne Canyon is a plus!
Nice place to stay to explore the Springs area. Would stay here again.
When asked by our three year old granddaughter where we were staying for the week we told her a Vrbo. She asked who owned the house, I told her “Steve”. From then on out the house was “Steve’s”. We stayed at “Steve’s” with our three year old granddaughter and celebrated the birth of her brother. Steve’s house was perfect with the two adjoining rooms so our granddaughter felt comfortable and safe. The Front porch was perfect for watching the wildlife and the giant cats next door. The house was very clean and well appointed for all of our needs. We also loved the neighborhood. Steve was responsive and a great communicator with regard to check in and check out. We would absolutely recommend this property
We stayed at Steve’s property for a month and had a wonderful time. The house is in a great wooded location, surrounded by trees with ample opportunity to see and enjoy wildlife from the front porch. We had a couple of deer visit us on a regular basis, often sitting by the driveway gate like animated statues! The house next door had construction going on but fortunately they didn’t start work too early. Despite the occasional noise, we still enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. The property itself was just as described and Steve was quick to respond to any questions or issues. As a bonus, we got to use a brand new oven and refrigerator that Steve arranged to install during our visit. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, cups, and dishware. We also made great use of the rice cooker, which was an unexpected convenience. The house also had plenty of paper supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels. Water pressure in the shower was strong, which is always a plus. The interior of the house is very charming with plenty of seating options, windows, and natural sunlight. The AC in the dining room worked well, and there are plenty of fans throughout the house to help keep things cool in the summer. Steve was also kind enough to setup one of the bedrooms as an office so that we could work remotely. The Internet connection was fast and reliable, and we enjoyed our zoom meetings while watching squirrels run around the yard! The property comes with garage parking but we kept our vehicle in the driveway outside. Would definitely recommend Steve’s house to anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing Colorado Springs stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is cute with a lot of antique features. Everything worked great. We had no issues getting into the house and it had everything we needed.
This is the second time we booked Steve’s property. Steve is a great host. The house is a perfect home base for us while visiting Colorado Springs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time on the front porch in the mornings and evenings, enjoying the weather and the deer that lived in the neighborhood. The house is close to all the major tourist destinations. We especially loved we could walk to the Stratton Open Space- if you travel with a dog they have a reservoir your dog can swim in which our dog loved. Overall the house was well equipped and well located.
Our family of 4 had a wonderful week in June staying here for USAFA new class dropoff. The house is next to Cheyenne Park and many lovely trails,15 mins to the Academy. Very clean. Host Steve super nice and easy to communicate. Will stay again. Thanks Steve.
Very central location and clean with a lot of storage space. We walked down to the nearby cafe for a yummy breakfast one day and to the open space another for a hike with the kids. Some additional night lights in the bedrooms might be nice and a hair dryer, but we loved sitting on the porch and even played some frisbee in the front yard area. Only taking a star away for the extra firm and squeaky bed. Mentioned to owner who said they would address.
Excellent location for everything we wanted to do. We completed the Manitou Incline, went to Glen Eyrie, Garden of the Gods, and explored the Pike National Forest. Steve was easy to work with and the home was perfect for what we needed. Would book again! Also, had some great pizza at White Pie and wonderful coffee at Building III and Switchback.
