Muskegon, Michigan
The LAKE HOUSE
Enjoy this cozy Lake House experience with all the perks of modern amenities, comfortable luxury, maximized functionality and detailed touches.
The house is 2200 sq ft of exceptional comfort and design.
4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms provide ample space for 8 people.
Outdoor Deck
A 12’ x 34’ covered deck allows you to have a total outdoor living space with a view of the channel. Enjoy your morning coffee and relax with family. You may have outdoor meals, play
games, read a book, enjoy the many local birds or have an evening cocktail while watching the sunset light the skies over the channel, Lake Michigan and Muskegon State Park.
Absolutely stunning views of the channel (Lake Michigan to Muskegon Lake), the thousand foot ships, cargo ships, ferry and sailboats that glide by. You will see the peaceful view of the sand dunes of Muskegon State Park across the channel.
Kitchen and Dining Room
The home has an exceptional amount of light with an abundance of windows on all sides. Enjoy how roomy the great room and kitchen/dining room areas are. The kitchen is very well stocked. A cozy gas fireplace can be turned on for cooler evenings.
Beaches
Award winning white sand “clean” and groomed beaches are a very short walk. (Approximately 5 minutes). Pere Marquette is almost 3 miles of continuous white sand beach. There are two playgrounds-one on the way to the beach and one at the beach.
Muskegon Lake and a beautiful sandy beach is a 10 minute walk behind the house.
So many beach choices within short walking distance from the house.
Restaurants
There are two great restaurants;
The Deck-on the beach
Dockers-on the Marina, by Muskegon Lake. Both in 5-10 minutes walk from the house. Muskegon is known for it’s great local restaurants. A full list is available online and in the information binder at the house.
Bike and Walking Trails
Miles and miles of trails for both walking and biking. A favorite is the trail along Muskegon Lake or the trail through the Beachwood Dunes and Lake Michigan Boardwalk.
USS Silversides Submarine and Naval Museum
Great history and an excellent tour of both the museum and submarine (paid admission).
Ice Cream
One ice cream shop on the beach and three others within biking or a short car ride.
Paddle Board Rental
There are local places for bike rentals, kayak, paddle board and canoe liveries and even fishing charters or daily boat rentals.
Hoffmaster State Park and Lake Harbor Dunes
One of the amazing features of Michigan is the sand dunes. Learn a little about the dunes through the visitors center at Hoffmaster State Park and actually climb and run the dunes at Lake Harbor for a unique experience.
Silver Lake Dune Buggy Rides
At Silver Lake (1 hour north), ride a dune buggy for a great view of the miles of massive high dunes.
NOAA:Lake Conditions
Always be aware of lake and weather conditions. Lake Michigan is a beautiful but powerful lake. Check NOAA for rip tides and never swim within 150 ft of any structure or pier. When the waves are high, we often take the grandkids to Muskegon Lake. There are several web cams to check out the view on the beaches.

Great property in a great location. Everyone had a great time; we highly recommend this property.
Fantastic stay other than a rough check in. I lost an hour that I paid for due to not receiving a text code to get in.
This location is great. The walkable places make this property special. Word to the wise be careful of the guest count, even for a mean or meet up.
This is a well-designed, well-situated, and well-equipped vacation home, perfect for a friends weekend or trip with immediate or extended family. The large porch off of the second floor kitchen is great for meals and to watch the sunsets.
Amazing unit. We walked to the beach and lighthouse every day and enjoyed watching the ships each evening from the balcony. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was stocked perfectly. We found everything we needed. Two unexpected positive surprises were the pickleball courts (4) located in a local park a few miles away and the Tiki Boiz Hawaiian food hut with such fun selections and great tastes. Rose was an amazing hostess checking in to make sure everything was ok and available for questions when needed. Many thanks for a great stay.
Rose was very communicative. The beach house was immaculate. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend watching a live show at the deck. Only a 4 minute walk. 10/10
Walkable to beach. Two good restaurants close by. Beautiful house in quiet neighborhood. Great layout, two living areas. Clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay again!
Such a perfect home-away-from-home! The cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in, with everything we could possibly need available (beach wagon, extra blankets, games, a PERFECT porch to watch the sunset from and see boats in the canal, every utensil and kitchen product, plenty of bathroom towels. Honestly, I could go on!). The open space is so great for a small group and having 3 showers was a bonus. The best part is being so close to such an amazing beach -- walking there was a breeze. Thank you for sharing your home!
It was wonderful!
Our family had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home with great views. It’s close to the beach and has lots of amenities. Would highly recommend it.
Beautiful home on a quiet street. Walking distance to many local attractions. Loved Dockers and The Deck as well as the local beach and museums. House is clean and beautiful. Thanks for having us. We will be back.
The channel house's location puts one in a position to enjoy what makes Muskegon awesome! Close to the beach, right on the channel with the paved pier and close to a wonderful bike trail, the house offers nearby enjoyable activities for all types. As a formal local, now living in a different state, it is a great place to stay!
The property allowed us to go to the beach—fishing and swimming. The park was hood for the kids also. We were about 20 minutes from relatives in Norton Shores and North Muskegon. Great location and the sunsets were spectacular!?
We truly enjoyed the accommodations and the location of the beautiful home we stayed at! It was in walking distance of a great beach and a 10 min drive to a distillery that we found on Lakeshore Drive. Everyone had a great time!
We loved this property so much. It’s tucked away with amazing views. Close to the marina for boating and walkable to Pete Marquette beach which is stunning. The house is clean, spacious and has all the amenities, well stocked with cooking utensils, all the towels you could need. The upper deck is amazing for relaxing anytime of day. We love it so much we will be back next year!
