Lluvia de Brasas is a two-bedroom traditional Costa Rican home, perfectly located in Ojochal. Enjoy the blend of an efficient home with the modern amenities of high speed internet, SmartTV and a private swimming pool, all with the privacy of a gated property adjacent to a creek.

Each of the two bedrooms has their own private bathroom.
This is a great property for couples or small families.


Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation.

We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports. Palmar Sur is closest (~30 minutes) and has one flight per day in/out of San Jose, while Quepos is approximately 45 minutes from Ojochal and has multiple flights per day on either Sansa Airlines or private charters. We will arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant.

Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.


Ojochal is an established town in the southern pacific region of Costa Rica. It is a nice blend of locals and foreigners.
Ojochal is known throughout Costa Rica for its amazing variety and quality of fine-dining restaurants
Lluvia de Brasas is within walking distance to a small grocery store and several bars/restaurants. In the past, we've had long-term clients purchase bicycles to get around as an affordable transportation option. Let us know if you're interested in renting a bike (a week's notice is required).

This is a home with private access.
It is behind an unmanned privacy fence with 24-hour access.
Guests are free to leave and arrive any time of the day or the night.

Check-in must be completed by 8:30 pm.
For any check-in request after 8:30 pm, a $75 late fee will be charged, and it is up to the discretion of Osa Property Management to approve or not. Late check-in must be requested at least 72 hours before the day of check-in.

The home is easily accessible (no 4x4 traction vehicle needed), is less than 10 minutes to the beach (Playa Tortuga), grocery stores and the wonderful restaurants found in Ojochal (Exotica, Citrus, etc). .

Renters will have full access to the home, to the two acres of land and to the private pool.

A private vehicle is necessary. There are neither taxis nor Uber available in Ojochal.
Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.

Failure to do so may result in the reservation being canceled.

You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:

This is a great home for short-term or long-term rentals.
Long-term guests (over 24 nights) are required to pay for electricity and provide a valid credit card upon check-in to pay for the electricity.
For long-term stays, Osa Property Management will conduct a scheduled walk-through the entire home once a month.
Pets are allowed but a non-refundable fee of $50 is required, regardless of length of stay.

    Absolutely perfect fresh air flowing in and out , fruit trees. Nice pool very comfortable n safe we really enjoyed being home!! and everything we wanted to do was close perfect!!

    This place has great potential, if they were to install AC. It is also located on a busy street, which wouldn't be a problem if you could close the windows at night, which you can't because it is too hot. There are also roosters, dogs barking, etc. This was the biggest issue. That being said, the place is nice (modest, but clean and equipped nicely). The pool and grounds are fabulous. The management company was excellent!

    Our overall impression: cute property, older but well kept. A few things were worth noting. 1. The road noise can be bothersome at night considering there is no air conditioner so there is no way to shut out traffic noise. 2. very hard mattresses and pillows. We slept on camping gear we put on top of the mattress to make it a bit more comfortable. 3. Impossible to regulate the cold/hot water-it is an extreme of either one. 3. The rooster next door seems to have not gotten the message about crowing only at daybreak. He starts about 3:30-4:15 each morning-again no way to dampen the noise as the windows must stay open. Of course, there is probably little that can be done about that! Overall the house was clean and conveniently located. The management company is super responsive and we enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly is a definite plus.

    This house is a little hidden gem. The place is rustic but we enjoyed that. However, it is a little worse for wear and needs some repairs. The house and property is very private. It is important to note that Ojochal is an up and coming place which means there is a lot of traffic including motorbikes which were very loud. There are some very nice restaurants near by. The property management company were fantastic, they responded quickly to our requests or questions and were super helpful when booking and organizing excursions.

    We loved most everything about this place, it was a great place to just get away and relax. It is very private and beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a BBQ. It was also great to be able to wash and dry our clothes. We also got to witness a mom sitting on her eggs and she had 3 little chicks following her around. I do recommend that AC and a second lounge chair by the pool would be great additions, as it is quite warm. We would definitely return.

    The patio and pool was great. The showers and toilets had serious issues. Ojochal is an up and coming area with a lot of developing going on. Unfortunately this property is located very close to the main avenue and there was a steady stream of construction vehicles.

    We enjoyed our stay here and the pool was fantastic. The home is more rustic, which we liked, but be aware that there is no living room. The kitchen and laundry worked well for us, there is a cooktop but no oven. The home is located in a very convenient and beautiful spot, and the property has a lot of space and fruit trees. The view is nice and there are restaurants within walking distance.

    The property is beautiful. We saw many birds and animals throughout the day. The gate locks which is great for piece of mind. The neighbors are friendly. Grocery stores are very close. We did not rent a vehicle but still were able to walk to the beach and waterfalls nearby. The only reason we gave it 4 out of 5 stars for accuracy of listing was because it said it had AC units. Two fans were provided in each room, but no AC units were present.

    The place was very quaint, many Great restaurants near buy, spent time in joying the ocean at two different locations. Beautiful, warm and enjoyable. The property pool could have been heated. But still was refreshing. Waking up to the birds and roosters was quit enjoyable. The tacos were very friendly, never felt threatened or scared. Some of the off roads adventure were very interesting… mush rent a 4 wheel drive Vehicle. Enjoy Ojochal..
