Description

Ready to trade your alarm clock for the sound of water lapping against the dock Welcome to your family's new favorite lake house — the kind of place where flip-flops are basically formal wear and just one more s'more is a house rule. Nestled on the shores of the 1,300-acre Van Ettan Lake, this place was made for making memories. Wake up, grab a coffee from the built-in coffee bar (Keurig and drip — we don't judge your caffeine preferences), and head straight down to your own private dock. Kayaks Check. Paddleboard Check. Sandy lake bottom perfect for wading Double check. Best of both worlds: you'll feel miles away from it all, but you're just a short drive from downtown Oscoda for restaurants, shopping, and supply runs — so nobody has to choose between a quiet lake escape and easy access to town. Rainy afternoon or just want to warm up after a swim Sink into the indoor hot tub that opens right up to the living room — because why choose between soaking and Netflix when you can do both Need to spread out This isn't your average lake house. Beyond the cozy 3-bedroom main house, there's a whole separate bunkhouse tucked above the garage with FIVE queen beds — basically a built-in clubhouse for the kids, cousins, or whoever loses rock-paper-scissors for who's staying with the teenagers. As the sun dips low, gather everyone around the fire pit (we'll even start you off with some firewood) for marshmallows, stories, and the kind of quiet you forgot existed. And here's the best part: the name isn't just for fun. This home was built to give back — every stay here helps support Julianna's Wishes, our family's charity — so while you're making waves (and memories), you're also helping us make a difference. It's a getaway that feels good in more ways than one. Whether you're here to fish, float, paddle, or just do absolutely nothing at all — this lakefront retreat has room for the whole crew, a little bit of purpose, and then some.
