Roma, Georgia
Located in Rome, this welcoming vacation home lets you experience it all. Via Nazionale and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma are just a short walk away, so leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking. If you're looking to expand your horizons and see other nearby locales, you can catch a train at either a short Rome Termini Station, 9-minute walk away, or Rome (XRJ-Termini Rail Station), 9 minutes away.
Prepare a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, complete with a stovetop, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and cookware. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and toilet paper. Other amenities at this 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom rental include bed sheets, an ironing board, air conditioning, and heating.
The property was in an amazing location right off Via Nazionale. However, Expedia showed this property as having two bedrooms. It had one plus a sofa bed in the living room. The wifi was not available at all times. Apparently a local issue but not convenient. There was a metal spiral staircase to the kitchen. Not at all user friendly and not in the property description.
This was a below average place to stay in Rome. If you are after somewhere lower cost for say 1 night, this might work for you! Otherwise we would not recommend, for the following reasons: - The listing is misleading terms of location; the map takes you to a main square with the fountains, but the apartment is actually few streets back from here. The pin on the map needs to be changed to reflect the actual location. - The shower is almost not usable, due to being extremely small/narrow and not separated from the rest of the (already small) bathroom, so water goes everywhere making things very slippery. - The stairs to the kitchen are extremely dangerous (anyone with children should definitely not stay here - very unsafe!), and as another reviewer mentioned they are held together by duck tape at various points. - There are a few things missing from the kitchen if you intend to cook eg salt, pepper, oil, chopping boards, dishwashing detergent. - The bed is very hard which is again not ideal especially for a longer stay. Please note, as another reviewer pointed out, there are not 2 separate bedrooms as advertised - there is a sofa bed in the lounge room plus the main bedroom. - You can’t have more than 3 appliances running at once, including the fridge (again as pointed out by another reviewer, the fridge is a small dorm fridge in the lounge room). We would not stay here again.
Two of the most important things for me was price and location. This property met both. A good value and close to everything (Colliseum, pantheon, trevi fountain, spanish steps, food, and grocery store). AC will freeze you out. With that said bathroom has no separate shower all in one, not much room to shower. The kitchen is up the narrow sketchy spiral staircase (held together a points with duck tape). The bigger refrigerator and washer do not work. There is a small dorm style refrigerator on the main floor. My opinion the kitchen is not very functional. Also, very important as you come in the building hidden in the spiral staircase is a very small elevator. Did not figure that out until we carried our luggage up to the top floor. It has one queen bed and a daybed with a trundle bed. Beds were comfortable. Main floor of the property was spacious and had enough storage. Overall good value for your money.
Everything about our stay was great! It’s perfect distance from everything. The building is great, it’s on the 5th floor but there’s an elevator which was amazing! There’s a pizza place right out the front door that has amazing pizza and a quick place to grab a drink. Would definitely reccomend this place!
