Coastal dog friendly retreat with large deck & kitchen - short walk to beach

We’re repeat guests. The home has everything you need. It’s well equipped, you can enjoy ocean views and hear the sounds of the surf. Always a great time.

Great house, well equipped and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach, View of the ocean was better than we’d anticipated. The only thing we could have used was a wine opener. Apart from that our stay was perfect. Would love to visit again!

The Piper Place was a good choice. The outside shower was a great plus! Everything listed was accurate with only one real issue. The washer did not spin clothes out good so washing towels and swimsuits was not possible. I feel a washer is very important to have for a beach vacation. Otherwise, we loved the place!

Beautiful home, very clean, and short walk to the beach. The ladder to the bunkbed needs to be secured. My daughter fell. Other than that, we had a blast. Plenty of beach stuff! Very quiet neighborhood!

This was one of the cleanest houses I’ve stayed in with VRBO/Vacasa.

The house was clean and well stocked with towels. The deck was a lovely spot for our morning and evening coffee. Could see and hear the ocean from there in the quiet mornings. Highly recommend.

What a great house. Perfect for a family with small kids and a dog. We loved it. It was clean, convenient to the beach, and super comfortable. The service team as well as the owner are top notch. We loved so many things about this house. First to be able to pull under the house to unload out of the sun! The house cleaners did an excellent job having the house spotless. We loved single floor living, all bedrooms on the same level. Perfect place for two families and their kids. We were just us, husband and wife. Lots of places to sit and eat, and that table was beautiful. The master suite was really spacious for each suitcase. Both bathrooms were a good size. The den had adequate seating with a tv with a really sharp display. The tv was easy to operate and HDMI plugs were easily accessible. When we arrived all the storm shutters were closed. We actually kept them closed the entire time. It probably helped keep it so nice and cool and little glare on the tv. The view is outside anyways. The deck was expansive with lots of chairs and the beach is a short walk away. If you need to hose off or take a hot shower it’s all included downstairs. We love outdoor showers, especially with hot and cold water. Would recommend this place for sure!

Great host, 2 minute walk to the beach! Plenty of room for 2 adults and 5 kids.

Place was dirty, sheets all over the floor, smelled moldy, furniture was falling apart Had to leave and book a more expensive hotel room. Just went back home after 1 night at the beach instead of the 3 nights planned.See my email

This is a fabulous place that was very clean, well decorated and located in a great neighborhood. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to have a relaxing vacation in Galveston!

Piper's was such a sweet little beach cottage for getting away from the world for a weekend. It immediately felt like a familiar place for sitting, talking, cooking together, hanging out, and just relaxing and living life at a slower pace for a few days. We loved our stay and hope to be back again soon.

Second time to stay here, and would recommend to anyone looking for a clean and comfy place to stay. Look forward to our next trip.

Three nights with husband, son, and 2 small dogs. Perfectly pristine/clean, clean home. Again, clean - makes you feel extremely comfortable immediately. On the west side of the street such that the large front deck is shaded in the afternoon/evening. Also, much seating under the house. 3 bedrooms with 2 baths. Very close to beach - easy walk. No washing machine/dryer or beach chairs, so plan accordingly... Strongly recommend!!!

Close to beach! Lovely home

This home is located within a 5 minute walk to the beach, very convenient. Strong AC and very clean. Only cons is that the washer and dryer are not accessible to renters (as advertised), they're locked in the garage for the owner only. Also, the coffee maker filter is missing, so we had to add towel paper to keep the filter from going through the hole. Otherwise, the place is great, the neighborhood is lovely, and the beaches are quiet.

The home was amazing! Vewry comfortable place to stay. Easy walk to the beach, but far enough away to avoid the noise of any big parties. Definetly recomend this place to anybody looking to stay in Galveston.

The location was perfect, and a quick walk to the beach. The house was updated and adorable for our family. We have three small boys who loved the bunk bed room. Our only issue was with mosquitos downstairs (it is Texas after all!). Management responded promptly to our needs and will have it sprayed before the next guests. Overall, we will look forward to booking here again!

The place was very clean, fully equipped with all the things you need…. The location was amazing. It’s very very close to the beach. My family and I loved it and we are definitely doing it again for the summer and even for the winter time.
