Coastal Castle: Pool, Dog-friendly, Separate Guest House, 530 Ft to Beach

As advertised and more. Great location, great amenities. Perfect for a large family vacation.

The house was very nice and we loved the location. Having the deck connected to the guest house was very convienent. One suggestion would be to have the bunk beds on the second floor. We had 4 kids under 8 and didnt want them on a floor without adults so 2 of them slept in the floor. So glad we used the pool heat, it was perfect. We might go back next year.

Coastal Castle was a good property for our large family vacation. Proximity to the beach and beach walkway access was appreciated. Owners called mid week to check on us which was a nice touch! Only downside was lack of kids for pots and pans and no second oven and cooktop.

This house was perfect for our large family. We had 10 kids, 8 adults, one pappy and a dog. I was worried that the 2 masters in a separate house might feel isolated but it did not at all- it was connected and great to not hear the noise of the main house in the morning. The amenities were spot on- the pool, hot tub, lookout, arrangements of the bedrooms, theater room, pool table, access to the beach (although our beach access was closed for upgrades during our stay), volleyball court, everything! We will be back! Only small recommendations- more plastic cups for kids, lighter dinnerware, more kitchen utensils, an outside table. Overall amazing home and so grateful we had the opportunity to stay here!

Great house, perfect location, easy short walk to the beach, right by stores for easy groceries.

We as a family have been renting in Corolla for 7 years. This is the first time we have had a negative incident during that time. The rental, the communication from the owner, location and amenities were the best. On Friday night towards the end of our stay the house behind us obviously had a large group of young men and women. they were loud and singing til at least 2am. We never contacted anyone as we figured it was a one night issue and youth will be youth. However we found the next day that other neighbors with young children had either contacted Paramount or the police. The house behind us thought it was us and proceeded to pelt the rental with eggs and lemons. I notified the property owner and he contacted Paramount. They sent a representative over and informed us about other renters complaining about this group. We though the issue resolved, but on Saturday night again they were extremely loud and nasty. We were told that the other rental agency would be contacted. I thought the vetting process required that the renter be at least 28 years old. The name on that rental should be banned from renting in Corolla ever again. Like I said we love OBX and have stayed and rented in Corolla for over 6-7 years. Beautiful home but needs power washing and spider webs removed. Needed to be thoroughly checked prior to our arrival. Elevator was not working upon arrival but was fixed within a few hours. Grill was full of water and dirty utensils and no gas. Be advised that if you do not take travel hurricane insurance you are out your money.

I have stayed at other paramount destinations and this one was by far the least clean when we arrived. Molded Kristina Keene boxes and bbq sauce all over utemsils. We had some comforters that were stained as well. After talking with three people with paramount I finally was able to get only a $200 cleaning credit. I really just wanted a cleaner house but what we had to do is spend a day of our vacation cleaning. The head of paramount was communicative but the others including the property manager claimed it was my fault and I should have called the first day. Unfortunately we didn’t see everything wrong until a few days into the trip. Regardless I am the paying vacationing client and should not be at fault. I can’t say I will run back to one of their properties in the future after this experience.

Able to comfortably fit 18 adults without a problem! Close to the beach and town. We would stay again!
