Excellent stay right down to the bath towels. Ocean view. Super host. We loved it and hated to leave.

Excellent location, views of Monterey Bay from dining table and from the front porch. Very comfortable bed and full kitchen. Bedrooms are on the second floor, along with a bathroom. Proprietor provides excellent communication.

Great house art an even greater location. Jack does an excellent job of preparing the house for every comfort and convenience. We plan to return time and again to this wonderful corner of the coast.

Home from home, everything you could want for your holiday, with the perfect location. It was great to have bikes to explore with and I loved being able to walk down to the rocks and watch for otters. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and the bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully designed and cared for.

The cottage was really clean and that is important. It was across the street from Lovers Point and an amazing scenic walking trail. Coffee shops and restaurants around almost every corner.

We had a lovely stay at Jack’s cottage. The house is beautifully appointed and the location is perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our trip to Pacific Grove. We would definitely return!

Our niece got married this weekend in Carmel. The Cottage at Lover's Point was a perfect place to stay for two couples. My sister and brother in law join us for a great four day weekend.We found so many quick day trips to make from Monterey to Carmel and everything in between. We also had many choices nearby for restaurants.The cottage is very clean and reminded us of a step back in time with the lovely neighborhood and many things to walk to, from the library to the historical museum to lover's point and more.The owner, Jack Chestnut, was very accommodating and communicative throughout our stay.Thank you so much!Ernie & Kathy7-26-2025

We absolutely loved this place! The location could not be better. Right across the street from Lover’s Point, which made walking over with our small children so easy. We also really enjoyed taking the walking path from Lover’s Point to the aquarium and Cannery Row. The home is beautiful; everything has been updated and was very clean. The owner provided lots of information, so we did not need to contact him during our stay, but he was very accessible. Highly recommend!

If you’re considering this property, just book it. It will not disappoint. This place is immaculate, beautifully updated, furnished and fitted with ultra modern touches like a brand new wash tower. The host, Jack, is considerate and always responded immediately or even proactively. Jack has thought of your every need. There are even heated floors in the downstairs bathroom- amazing. The beds and linens are great! The location is so convenient- walk or bike to everything in Monterey. Honestly, I’ve been renting with Vrbo and air b n b for 10 or so years with my family of 5, and this is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. Thank you so much Jack for making Monterey our favorite spot in California!

Loved this cottage. It’s adorable and close to everything. Well stocked kitchen. We liked that it had off street parking, although there was plenty of street parking available. You can walk to restaurants and stores, or take a short drive.

This rental was perfect. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the living room spacious and comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a welcome surprise after jumping in the ocean. Jack made sure our stay was perfect.

We loved our stay at the cottage! The home was perfect and had everything we needed. The location is perfect! We walked out the front door and went to “the rocks” at Lovers Point every morning with our 9 year old and climbed on the rocks and watched sea otters. We saw dolphins too. Easy drives to Point Lobos, Carmel, Big Sur, and Santa Cruz. We did a lot of hiking and rented e-bikes and went to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Jack was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend this home.

My husband, 2 adult sons and I had a perfect stay. The home is beautiful, clean and did not disappoint in any way. Location is walking distance to the ocean (just as described), dining snd shopping. My favorite thing was sitting on the stoop or rocking chair just outside the door and drinking coffee. The beds were comfortable and we did not want for anything. The cottage at Lovers Point was perfect for our stay in the area. We were a family of 5 from the Midwest wanting to explore the California coast before heading to some National Parks. The cottage was centrally located, fully stocked, clean, and whimsical. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were soft and the property manager very responsive. We highly recommend!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, comfortable (especially the beds!!!), and conveniently located. We greatly appreciated that a pack n play was provided for our infant daughter.If we ever make it back to the area (which I really hope we do!) we would love to stay here again!

We loved our stay! The place is beautiful. Very clean and well cared for. Decorated really nice. Kitchen and bathrooms were new. We could just walk to restaurants and down to the point. Perfect location. Jack communicated with us about some repairs to one bathroom. He kept us informed and offered to give us a refund if we decided to change our mind. It all worked out and the bathroom was beautiful. We will definitely return.

My family of four enjoyed a relaxing 3-night fall getaway in Pacific Grove. We loved our stay at the Blue House, which is quaint, well maintained, beautifully furnished, and perfectly situated near the beach and downtown shops. The house is cute, clean and comfortable, with two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The plantation shutters made it easy to enjoy great natural light and ocean views during the day and then have privacy at night. The Scandinavian-style decor is really lovely. It was the perfect retreat after an afternoon of hiking along the coast, exploring tidepools, visiting the lighthouse, or shopping and dining nearby. We'd definitely stay here again.

I can’t say enough positive things about this charming century home. What a fantastic location. You can see the ocean from the house. It’s so charming inside and spotless. We enjoyed the 5 nights we stayed there. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for not only a beautiful home but Pacific Grove is incredible. What a beautiful town. The owner Jack was very responsive and the property was in the ideal location. Perfect amenities for our family trip to Monterey. The coastal trail is only a few footsteps out the door and meanders down to the Monterey Aquarium. I plan to take my family back here again.

We had an amazing stay at Jack’s Cottage! We were married at the lighthouse and had our reception at Fandango’s. Staying here completed the trifecta! Jack was as warm and welcoming as the cottage, very responsive and helpful. Beautifully decorated and all the amenities you’ll ever need. If you’re lucky enough to visit Pacific Grove, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to stay! ☺️

Cannot ask for more to be steps away from Lover's Pointe Beach. We walked to local restaurants for breakfast and after, we walked off our breakfast on the path by the beach. Detailed instructions regarding the cottage was emailed and a welcome call was made by Jack letting us know the weather was wonderful. Thank You

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful, quaint house in Pacific Grove. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed being so close to the beach area. The homeowner, Jack, was so easy to call or email about renting his house. He sends detailed emails/texts, and has a binder in his house filled with information and things to do. I highly recommend renting this house in Pacific Grove. We hope to be back in the near future!

Lovely little house, immaculately clean and cosy.

We are blown away by the location and the amenities for this incredible Vacation Rental. We had fantastic communication with the host and everything was actually even more spectacular than the photos, description and reviews! This amazing retreat is steps away from a lovely beach where you can rent kayak’s and learn to snorkel and scuba dive. There were two fantastic restaurants right across the street as well and this is also within a 10 minute Drive to Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium and the famous Monterey Bay wharf. We are so grateful to have stayed here this past weekend for our 1st annual Gibson Family Vacation with 3 generations! Parking was easy and it was lovely to sit on the front porch And watch the ocean and people pass by. Much gratitude for a much deserved weekend away for our family! Thank you so much! We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for several days in September just to rest and enjoy the town. This home was one of the most special homes we have ever stayed in! We have rented close to 200 properties over the past three decades. This property was so charming; I could imagine myself here back in the early days of the west coast. It had beautiful water views and you can sit in the rocking chairs in front of the home and chat with people as they walked by. Everyone we met was lovely and friendly! Oh, yes, and the house was immaculately clean. And beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds and linens. Overall, a truly wonderful property to relax in and enjoy the charm of beautiful Pacific Grove!

I've stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and have experienced some highs and lows. This property was definitely a high! Perfect location, great communication with the owner. Restaurants and shopping close by and directly across the street from Lovers Point and an excellent walking path. Really don't need a car for the area in Pacific Grove.
