The interior design of the house uses high end Danish and Swedish furniture and photos from a world famous drone photographer from Sweden.

Charming neighborhood. Many people walk, run, or walk their dogs in the neighborhood. Nearby neighbors are extremely friendly....feel free to say hello to any of the neighbors.
You can choose to use either the August Home Smart Lock or a key that is located in a lockbox by the front door.
This is a three story house situated in an adorable neighborhood in Alexandria called DelRay. It is a three story house with family room, dining room and kitchen on the main floor. The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bath with shower and tub. The basement has one bedroom, a full bath with shower and tub and a laundry room.
One or two people can also sleep in the living room. The BoConcept L shaped sofa is quite large and can accomodate someone who wants to sleep on a firm sofa. There is also an inflatable Serta mattress with a built in air pump that can be inflated in just a few minutes that can sleep one or two people.
There is a large backyard and a deck with pergola that has a gorgeous teak dining table with stylish outdoor chairs. There is a gas grill so you can grill steaks or some fresh seafood.
For parents with infants, there is a baby crib, a Pack 'n Play, a high chair, and one stair gate.
Easy access to DC, Old Town Alexandria and the Braddock Road Metro Station. Ample street parking right in front of house. 15 minute walk or 3 minute car ride to Braddock Road Metro station. Scooter and bike rentals are located on Mount Vernon Avenue only two blocks from the house.
We booked this place to be close to shops and Resturants for a staycation. The place was well equipped with everything needed to have a great girls weekend. We loved looking at the holiday lights around the neighborhood as well. Really enjoyed the place and had a great weekend away. Would recommend this place to stay again.
We had a wonderful stay in Alexandria. Everything was accurate to listing. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for everyone to spread out after long days in DC. Nespresso machine and pods were an added bonus to kick start out mornings. Would recommend a stay here. Close to lots of restaurants.
We had a very nice time. Mark was very accommodating. My big problem was there were only a bathroom upstairs level and in the basement. This was never noted in the description of the property. There is no bathroom on the main level. I had a knee replacement which makes walking upstairs to go to the bathroom every time was inconvenient/painful. My daughter who's 5 months pregnant also had to make that trip upstairs every time. (Pregnant girls need to go to the bathroom a lot.) Honestly, if I knew there wasn't a bathroom on the main level I would never would have booked it. If bathrooms aren't a problem, nice place to book.
We were visiting our son and daughter-in-law for our granddaughter's first birthday in Alexandria. We were traveling with an infant, 3 year old, and 5 year old along with our daughter and son-in-law so that meant a lot of stuff to deal with! Everyone got their own room and we were able to make breakfast each morning for everyone. Mark, the owner, even stopped by with a brand new coffee maker to add to the house. The house has Norwegian decor and a TV in each bedroom. Full laundry room, plenty of towels, and king size comfy beds were appreciated. All in all, a great trip thanks to being able to stay in the comforts of home rather than a cramped hotel room.
Stayed for two nights as we were in town for my nephew’s wedding. We walked from the house to a lovely little Italian spot, Bella Napoli. The house itself was comfortable, clean, and as described. Would definitely stay again! Thanks Mark!
Great communication. Super convenient in lovely area close to everything.
This home was just what we needed for a short stay in the DC area. Thanks!
The neighborhood was safe to the point my family and I could walk to near by restaurants, coffee shops, and drug stores. Neighbors were friendly and the Vrbo was inviting. Additionally, the property manager was helpful and accommodating regarding anything we needed. We would stay again.
Great (if short) trip to DC! Thank you for providing a nice, comfortable place to land. ?
Home is located in a quiet family neighborhood that has plenty of on street parking. We used the Metro (which was a short walk) to get around DC. House was clean and beds are comfy. Coffee bar was a nice touch! Thanks Mark, we would definitely rent from you again!
We stayed here while dropping off our son at American University. Very cute location, close to Alexandria and easy drive to AU. I grew up in Alexandria, so appreciated the location and how easy it was to visit my old haunts and friends who live in the area. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of room for all of us. Had my parents per for dinner on evening and kitchen had all I needed to make a nice meal. Enjoyable stay!
From the description and pictures on the site, I thought it to be a great rate for the location and the looks of the house. Yes, this house does need a deep cleaning. The heating/AC vents are covered with built up dust. The fridge needs a thorough cleaning as well. The one thing that sold me was the 3 king sized beds. However, 2 of the rooms really could use just a queen size bed. I had the basement bedroom a had difficulty getting in and out of bed without crab-walking along the wall. The downstairs bedroom does not have room for a side table to put your phone, a glass of water - or in my case, my C-pap machine. The beds were comfortable and clean. It is an older homer and could use some updates, but I guess that will come with time. The kitchen has limited space, so plan on one cook if you plan on cooking breakfast, etc. The yard needed to be tended to, the grass was high and the patio with the table and chairs were covered with dead leaves. We wanted to sit out there to chill, but would have needed to use towels to cover the chairs after using a stick to remove the leaves from the back of the chairs. I would love to give this property a higher rating, because it is in a creat neighborhood - close to the Metro, good restaurants and grocery stores. One thing I would like to suggest to the owner - put a hand rail at the top of the stairs to the basement - the steps are steep and it would be helpful to someone needing the assistance of navigating the steps.
From check in to our last day, Mark was accommodating and very kind. He helped give some phone directions to navigate our nations capital and made sure the home was stocked with everything my family and I needed. The home was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. I can t say enough good things about our experience. Thank you Mark!
Good place to stay with family for sightseeing in DC
We really enjoyed our stay here. Located in a quiet neighborhood and proximal to many restaurants and cafes. I would recommend if you are looking for a place that is family-friendly.
We had a very brief but wonderful stay at Mark’s house for a staycation; our dogs loved the big yard and the master bed was very comfortable. It’s in a great and very walkable location. We booked on short notice and were very happy with the accommodations.
Mark’s place was exactly as listed. It was a great place to bring friends and family together. Del Ray is so quintessential. The beds at Mark’s place are super big and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
This trip was for family to enjoy the sights of DC. There were 6 adults in our group and this home was perfect for our trip! The home is beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. Check in and check out was seamless. The host provided answers to any questions we had quickly. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and we could have easily eaten all our meals there if we had desired to do so. We would definitely stay here again if needed and highly recommend this home and host. We have nothing negative to say!
Excellent location - walkable to restaurants, drugstore and grocery store. Just outside DC and downtown area. Was absolutely perfect for our trip to a professional conference and a lovely place to unwind after some long days!
We were so lucky to have stayed here during the Christmas Season. The street next to the house is “Christmas Card Lane”. We had never heard of this being from the CA, but all the houses had huge Holiday Cards in their front yards. So fun to walk and see at night. The yard was nice and big for our granddaughters and grand-Dog-ther. We had fun running and playing games.
Love love love! Very nice property, well-kept and beautifully set up. This house is in a great location, close walking distance to restaurants and stores, and the perfect location to access Arlington and DC also (we stayed here to attend a funeral in Arlington and it could not have been more convenient). Mark was a very good host with great communication. Convenient yet cozy and welcoming, we would definitely stay here again.
