Very cute cottage with historic charm. Kitchen was well stocked and having coffee with cream and sugar was great. The master bedroom bed was great, smelled fresh and was very comfortable. It does get really cold in that room as it was an add on and the baseboard heater was clicking and bothering me at night. Lots of great games and books as well. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay! It was a perfect place and location for our girl's dance competition. We love the cottage feel and would love to stay again if we are in the area.

We had a great experience at this Lynchburg Cape Cod inspired home! The host, Naomi, was super responsive and kind. The home was immaculate, beds were comfortable, and everything in the house matched the description exactly. Easy to find and perfectly located for everywhere we went in the area. We would stay again! Family-friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient to Liberty. We cooked and ate in every day, and the kitchen was more than sufficient. We appreciated having laundry on site. And, Rachel / Naomi were fabulous communicators! If you stay here, remember to enter through the back door. We neglected to pay close attention to those directions when we arrived and had a hard time getting in. Rachel redirected us promptly when we reached out to her, which was amazing. Also, if you would like to use the laundry room, be sure to let them know ahead of time, so you can get immediate access. We will unquestionably be back again!!

We had a girls’ weekend away (Nov 7–11) with six women ages 45–53. We usually don’t write reviews this detailed, but felt it was necessary.Heat – A cold front came through, and the home was extremely cold. We raised the Nest to 68 to offset the 30-degree weather outside, but the house never warmed above 58. There were gas logs but no key to turn them on. The upstairs was even colder; the addition had adjustable floorboard heat, but 5 of us were still very cold the last night.Furniture & Rugs – Living room seating fits only 5, with 1 person squeezed in the middle of the couch. One seat was a sling chair, not ideal for adults. The dining table seats 6 (not 8), and 2 people had to use stools so high their legs didn’t fit under the table. Outdoor seating was for 4. One upstairs bed was extremely firm. As others noted, the rugs slid around, and the “no shoes on rugs” request should have been disclosed before booking.Dishes & Silverware – Only 8 pieces of silverware, meaning constant washing. Just 4 coffee mugs for 6 adults, though the listing says service for eight. K-cups were appreciated, but mugs, cups, and stemware should match the listing. Plates were sufficient.Amenities – Coffee supplies and basic toiletries were provided, but the toilet paper was single-ply and tore easily. Normally this wouldn’t be worth mentioning, but it added to the overall issues.Cost – For the price, location, limited nearby attractions, and comfort level, the home felt overpriced.

This tops my list of favorite VRBOs in Lynchburg. I've stayed at many over the past few years. This is such a lovely, well-maintained and comfortable home. It is updated with all the modern conveniences, but it still has its old home charm. We loved that there were four queen sized comfortable beds - enough for the whole family. Hope to stay here again!

The location was perfect for a weekend visit to Liberty University. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed except a laundry room. We went to a local laundromat, but it was not convenient and took time away from other opportunities. The owners communicate well and were helpful before, during, and after the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was beautiful & cozy. Even though the weather was less than ideal this property provided an ideal “home base“ for us to capitalize on family time while visiting our son who’s a student at Liberty. The only thing that would add to the property would be access to a washer & dryer. We definitely hope to return. Thank you for providing a special place to land.

Quaint little cottage that has everything you need!

This property was lovely. The only negative things were the rugs and upstairs shower. They rugs and shower didn't have any grippers/non slip strips. It was challenging and a bit nerve racking showering in the upstairs bathroom as there wasn't any safety rails or grippers on the tub floor. The rugs at the front door we just moved as to keep from slipping as we walked by.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home very near Liberty University. Everything was very clean, and we felt right at home. I wish I could rate on a 1-10 scale rather than 1-5, as I’d give it a 9/10 rather than 4/5. We only had 2 small issues; there was an odor coming from the ac unit, and the filter needed cleaning, which I did. And it really needed a cleaning badly. Once done, the smell was gone. Also, the refrigerator indicated the water filter needed to be changed, and given the state of the ac filter, we didn’t want to chance the water from the dispenser in the fridge. Everything else was great, and we had a great time.

We visited Lynchburg to take our high schooler (and 4 additional kids) to visit Liberty University. This home provided plenty of space for our large family. 1000 times better than having to get 2 hotel rooms. We also don’t like to eat every meal out with 5 kids, so it was nice to have a full kitchen to prep meals. The home is older, but well updated with the home’s charm maintained. Thanks for having us!

Such a beautiful home! Every detail was thoughtfully designed and beautifully planned to highlight the age of the home while bringing in the modern elements of function and comfort. Host was friendly and communicative. Easy process from beginning to end — which was helpful as we were bringing our firstborn to her first year in college.
