Cashiers, North Carolina
Our 4 bedroom/3 bath family house offers spectacular mountain views overlooking the entire Cashiers Valley and Whiteside Mountain. Perched high on a cliff at 4000 feet above sea-level in the quiet Continental Cliffs community on the eastern continental divide, the house is centrally located 2.5 miles from the crossroads in Cashiers and 7 miles from the main street of Highlands. The breathtaking views from almost every room in the house are tough to beat. The gazebo style porch is the perfect place to spend the day with a good book and encourages total mountain relaxation. Enjoy the gas fire pit surrounded by comfortable seating on cool mountain nights. The house comfortably sleeps 10 people and features the master bedroom suite on the first level. Three additional bedrooms and two full baths are located on the 2nd floor. One is a perfect room for a family with a king bed and 2 twins. Our family has spent many holidays around the dinner table and countless hours playing board games in the living room in front of the stone fireplace. The well-designed house is just as comfortable for a large family as it is for couple looking for a quiet get-away. Our blood runs orange, so availability over Clemson football weekends may be limited. Check with us just in case we're not using the house ourselves.

House is great, nice layout, well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The view from the back deck, living room, master bedroom and dining room is stunning.
Lots of laughs in the den, meals around the table, and grandbaby giggles on the porch.
This house located close to where we wanted to be and it was just as it appeared on the web site. Beautiful views and well set up bedrooms. Will probably stay here again.
Given the location and view it was amazing. A bit dated decor, but a well stocked kitchen of extras. Really nice to have a bag of coffee when we checked in!
Property was as advertised. Convenient to Cashiers. Greatly enjoyed sitting on the back deck with breathtaking views into the mountains. The private deck off the master bedroom was another great feature that was appreciated.
We really enjoyed your home. Great views! We celebrated our 50th anniversary. One slight improvement would be a larger dining room table.
The location of this rental is convenient to the main hub of Cashiers, and you are part of the way up the mountain to Highlands when you come out of the neighborhood. I don't know where the 2018 and previous years' references came from, but there are no steps leading down to any kind of water feature. There is a lake at the bottom of the neighborhood, and there is a small pull off there. This is not a road you want to walk. The views from the house are amazing. There are no other houses within sight of your windows, and every room in the house has views towards the mountains. The neighborhood road getting to the house is tough - pretty much single lane with some pull offs for passing. We just left the house each morning for a day out and did not return until time to fix dinner. The kitchen is really well stocked with all that you need to prepare most anything. The pots and pans all have matching lids and seem almost new. The fridge is huge. There is no shortage of glasses and plates/bowls for eating. And, the beds are super comfortable - great support after a day of hiking!
We had an amazing trip! The house is so roomy, great for larger families. Love being able to sit everyone around the kitchen table. Kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook large meals. Screened Back porch was wonderful! The cove is very nice and quiet. We had a great time kayaking and floating around. Didn’t have to worry about boat traffic at all. There are a lot of steps, but they weren’t that bad. WiFi was pretty spotty unless downstairs. Kids loved the ping pong table, shuffle board and the many games available to play. Owners were great to work with and very quick to respond when needed. Would highly recommend “Just bring your suit”! The name says it all!
The house was really nice and comfortable. For anyone who is bringing a boat I recommend not driving down the driveway. I would backup into the top section of the yard where it is a little more flat and unload. The state park boat ramp is only 5 min away, and open 24hrs (and free). We brought two kayaks with us so had 4 total and we used them every day. The rooms are very spacious and definitely everyone in my family had their own space if they needed it. We spent a lot of time on the screened in patio which has a view of the cove. The stairs are not too bad, but may want to ensure you take down what you need the first time so you do not have to make repeated trips. Fishing was decent around the mouth of the cove and around the 2nd island on the right. Not far away at all. The dock had enough space for us all and swimming off the dock was fun (13 ft deep at end of dock). There is a ladder to easily get out of the water. The house has everything you need for a rainy day as well. Plenty of games, books and videos. Bother the upstairs and downstairs had refrigerators and cooking areas. For elderly and disabled, some of the tub/shower combinations were a little hard to get in and out, but there were suction handle grips you can put on the walls to help you if needed. The cove is really quiet and we did fish off the dock at night for catfish, but did not have much luck. It still was pretty peaceful though. All in all, one of the better large houses my family has rented over the years. If we decide to vacation in this area again, this will definitely be a house we stay at again.
This house is great and we had a wonderful our stay! It is big, roomy, well-appointed, in a quiet neighborhood. We had a family Thanksgiving holiday and it was perfect. While there was no swimming, our son did put his fishing boat in the water and had fun fishing. We plan to return in warmer weather to enjoy all this house has to offer! As it was, we all enjoyed our stay and appreciated having this great house to enjoy!
