Stayed Aug 4, 2025The house was truly amazing -- the location, the views, everything about the house was top notch. We loved the layout and it was perfect for our family. The hosts have clearly thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The kids loved using the sports court and we enjoyed the pizza oven immensely. I can't say enough good things about the Cliff House!

Stayed Jul 21, 2025We loved staying in this beautiful home! There was so much space and everything was so well appointed! The views of the water through the huge glass windows were unparalleled. My 8 and 10 year old sons also couldn’t get enough of the game room and sports court! The convenience of Smuggler’s Creek and the Bakery Shack were a huge plus for food. The host also left us a lovely bag filled with local food and drink which was just the best surprise to make us feel welcome! Thank you for an awesome stay while we were visiting family in Donegal!

Stayed Jun 30, 2025House is phenomenal. Caretaker is very attentive. Rossnowlagh has everything you need for a great holiday, and the locals are great people. Can walk to the beach, eat and drink and to the nearby general store. Truly a special place.

Stayed May 31, 2025Our family 9 adults, 1 toddler planned a trip to visit our family that resides in Donegal Town. We enjoyed the spaciousness, views, beaches, accomodations and the many recommendations by the host. We utilized caterer Peter/ Bridg Campbell for a beautiful steak dinner. Our transportation was coordinated through hosts recomendations. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen where we would hang out in the evening with a nice warm fire, music and laughter. We would have loved to use the pizza oven, but could not squeeze it in. The host/ administrators are very communicative, the home is welcoming, well stocked with kitchen applainces dishes, pots, pans, plates, glasses etc.We mainly ate breakfast and light meals, and made daily trips to bakery for fresh scones and delicious coffees. We are grateful for our family time together and having a beautiful accomodations. Thank you Cliff House!

Stayed Jun 3, 2023We were so fortunate to have had the best stretch of weather...according to the locals...EVER in Donegal County. That being said, even if we did not, the property lends itself to enough space to stretch out in the event the weather turns. Our only downfall was that the weather was so good that we only used the fabulous pizza oven once as we were out on adventures for most days. The location of Smugglers Creek Inn just added to our stay for some of the long days where the driver (also being the chef and mother of the crew) was too tired to pull together a meal. The food was delicious and we all declared it the best pour of Guinness around. We look forward to another gathering soon!
