Claytor Lake Waterfront on Beach Drive

Host was receptive, quick to respond, and kind. The house was very cold when we arrived with the thermostat set to 50 F and the house did not heat up until the next day. We had a family member with a medical diagnosis that makes them susceptible to the cold so it was difficult for them to sleep the first night. During the winter I just suggest turning up the thermostat the morning of guests arriving. I’m sure during the summer it is not an issue. The only other notes I have is the water and ice dispenser does not work in the fridge and the door of the upstairs bedroom we stayed in would not latch. Other than that our stay was fine and the house was clean! The view of the lake was beautiful!

We were in town for our daughter’s wedding. The lake house was amazing for everyone to come and relax and enjoy time on the water. It was the perfect Post wedding relaxation oasis! The house was clean and spacious. Our host, Sherry was very communicative leading up to our stay. She was prompt to respond to my questions and provided information to prepare for our stay. She was very flexible with our travel timeline and hiccups. The location was an interesting 15 min drive on the small winding mountain road, but once at the lake house it was worth it! Just make sure to grab your supplies before making that trek. We enjoyed the using the kayaks and jumping from the top deck of the boat dock. We rented a boat for the weekend for fishing and sunset cruising. Every night was topped off with a gathering around the fire pit, laughing and sharing stories of the wedding day fun or reminiscing of times past. Thank you for the incredible memories created!

This house was awesome and everything we needed for the 4th of July weekend. More than enough room for me and all my friends. Had 14 people stay in the house and everyone had a place to sleep. Perfect for family vacations, wedding parties, or other big party gatherings. The hosts also offered an early check in and late check out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Second time staying here, last year we definitely used it more to its fullest. Sandly only limited time this year. Great set up for large group with plenty of sleep capacity. Dock is great, kids enjoy jumping off the upper. Beautiful view. Last year groups went kayaking and enjoyed the fire pit.

We had a great stay this weekend! The host was more than accommodating with our questions leading up to the stay and during our time at the house. We had fabulous weather and enjoyed the lake so much! It was fantastic being able to have a boat delivered, and there was a nice park down the road where we could put our jet ski in the water. The kids loved jumping off the dock! We hope to be back next summer!

We had a great long family weekend at the lake. The house was perfect with lots of seating area for adults and kids. The kayaks were all kinds of fun and sitting on the decks just watching the boats go by was so relaxing. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!
