Classic Oregon Beach Home has private Deck, Fenced Yard, Fire Pit, and Hot Tub

Great proximity to the beach! Peekaboo views of the ocean from the deck.

Website is misleading. Outside appearance hardly looks like the same house. There is no ocean view. The pictures say one thing and the printed information another. (Queen bed versus bunk beds). Booked according to the pictures and then found out about the bunk beds. We were two elderly couples. The deck and step posts need some serious upkeed.

The property's location and accommodations were highly satisfactory, offering ample amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The listing accurately depicted the presence of two bedrooms, one featuring a king-sized bed and the other a queen-sized bed, with accompanying visual representations. Upon arrival, however, the room designated for the queen-sized bed was equipped with a bunk bed. To maintain accuracy, it is recommended that the listing be updated to reflect this alteration. Despite this discrepancy, all other aspects of the property aligned with the provided information, resulting in an enjoyable experience. We extend our gratitude for hosting our group and anticipate the possibility of future bookings.

This is a great place to book if you want to be right on the beach. The path down is kinda tricky but just climb down some rocks and once out there it is beautiful. Also loved the fully fenced backyard because we brought our dog and it was nice to have her run around without the worry of her getting out.

This was by far one of the worst places we have ever attempted to stay. The one night we did end up staying it caused us both to have trouble breathing for a day do to the mold and mildew smell as well as the main bedroom roof falling in. The smoke detector went off all night long every 30 seconds. We sent a picture of the electrical issues in the front room and only told sorry. We did not stay the 3 nights we paid for only the first night. In my opinion it should not be rented out to anyone until the electrical, smell of mold and mildew is addressed, so strong it made us cough and have stuffed up noses with only a 12 hour overnight stay. The staff was fully aware as we called 4 or 5 times advising. When told we were leaving and not staying the entirety of our paid for stay was only advised they would mark it as left early. Also I feel strongly we should have gotten at least half or really all of our money back. This home should not be rented as it is a liability and a danger.

For the money I expected more!

Steps up to the deck getting a tad rickety as well…The one complaint - repeated experience from last visit - is that the host provided the wrong lockbox code. Again. Need to call Meredith Lodging local office who provided a different code and it worked. Would be really great if that can be handled!

This is a wonderful little cottage with an extremely well stocked kitchen, working hot tub, great beach access, and a cozy setting. Unfortunately the ocean view marketing works to its detriment; there is only a sliver of ocean visible as you walk from bedroom to kitchen. This filter should be removed so that people know what to expect. And the property management company did not communicate well. They did not respond to a question (for three weeks) and then when I asked a second time, they answered a different question! I had asked for a late check out, and they responded no to an early arrival (AFTER we had already arrived). This showed a total lack of attention to the customer's needs/requests. Thank goodness we didn't have a real problem while we were there. I rent ALOT in this area and have had very positive interactions with many hosts and companies. I will definitely not rent from a property managed by Meredith Lodging again. But it's a great house with perfect beach access and priced reasonably. If it were advertised accurately and managed by a responsive company, I would have been very satisfied.

Wonderful property! Enjoyed closeness to beach and closed in back yard giving the pup a free run. First time ever in a rental like this with no hair dryer! Had to borrow one from a friend in Newport. The biggest problem was checking in and checking out. Data arrived late and when in iffy wifi could not access the check-in information upon arrival. Reality is that the app sucks when no cell or wifi reception therefor check in info should be available PRIOR to leaving home! Several phone calls and 90minutes after arrival, finally had check in code. Except, could not get code to work. When it finally worked, we opted to use the key for the rest of our stay. Upon check out, same thing happened. Code did not close lock box! Thanks to Meredith Lodging, after a long call to them, who agreed for us to leave the key in the house and door open since the cleaners were on their way. We would love to come back to this cottage, but not until we are assured that we can get in!

Very beachy. No beach view. Peek aboo on the ocean. A few things need attention. The CO2 alarm was beeping and we couldn't stop it. Terrified our dogs. We put it outside. Then one of the smoke alarms went off. In tracking it down we discovered one alarm with no battery. Contacted manager. No response. The front door handle is very loose. All the other items contribute to be achiness. We never used the hot tub or the second bedroom. Very well stocked.
