This Palm Spring vacation getaway is a classic mid-century home designed by Palmer and Krisel located in the historic Twin Palms development in south Palm Springs. The Twin Palms neighborhood is one of the most photographed neighborhoods by famous photographer, Julius Shulman. Mid-century architectural details include a cinder block wall in diamond patterns along the entrance and signature sun folds over the windows on the front exterior. The open floor plan of the great room features high post and beams ceilings creating that classic look, enhanced with walls of glass and clerestory windows for abundant natural lighting. An enormous floating block fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room and creates the perfect gathering area for a fun-filled vacation with family and friends. From the great room, step through the large sliding glass doors to a private patio with spectacular mountain views. Here you can enjoy a putting green, shuffleboard, a large sparkling pool, or have a siesta in the twin palms hammock! After a day of enjoying the refreshing pool, take advantage of the poolside fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and BBQ area in the evening. For a formal meal, the full kitchen offers plenty of counter space with modern appliances for the inspired chef to create your favorite meals.

WHAT'S NEARBY This south Palm Springs location couldn't get much better, as you will be within a few miles of everything this vibrant city has to offer. With a beautiful backdrop of Mount San Jacinto, a morning hike will be calling your name. Make your way over to Tahquitz Canyon just over a mile away and walk along the beautiful trails that wind in the foothills. When it is time to head into town, everyone will love the plethora of shops, art galleries, and restaurants that line Palm Canyon Drive. Not to mention, this area is known for celebrity homes and famous architecture, so be sure to take a self-guided tour and drive along the famous streets near downtown.

The house is perfect for our family; the size, the comfort, the well equipped kitchen and backyard.

The pool was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the overall experience was affected by cleanliness issues. Generally, it seemed clean but the remote controls and light switches were quite dirty, as if something had been spilled or thrown up on them. There were fleas in one of the bedrooms! Obviously, the appearance of fleas was a deal breaker. With a more thorough cleaning and attention to detail, this listing could have earned a higher rating.

Air conditioning took a whole day to cool the place down when we first got there. Leaking Toilet. Some outlets were not working. Lights in pool were broken. Otherwise wonderful stay.

We arrived with an outside temperature of 114 and an indoor temperature of 96. After two hours with the AC on, it had dropped down to 93. There was also a leaky toilet that couldn't be fixed until the next day. We had to go somewhere else. Three days later I'm still waiting for communication about my refund.

We were participating in a festival in PSP and this house was a perfect retreat for all of us. We had several people yet it never felt crowded since it’s so spacious. Lovely neighborhood too and we had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the pool.

The backyard was very relaxing sitting on confortable patio furniture drinking coffee under patio shade. The View of the mountains in the morning was spectacular. The pool was warm when we arrived and clean. The house was clean and decorated in the theme of the 50 and 60's. We enjoyed being closer to Downtown for evening dining.

The place is beautiful. But as you look a little closer there were a few misses along the way. Namely the two twin beds that comprise 1 of the 3 bedrooms in the main house need replaced. And the bed in the guest house was unacceptable for the price. With that said, the other amenities were tremendous. The modern decor, the primary suite and bathroom, the living room, kitchen, and pool and jacuzzi and patio space provided us the comfort we sought while on vacation. The guest house, aside from the bed, provided some seclusion and easy living just a few feet away from everyone else. The pool alone might be worth the price of admission. It’s just those beds…they bring down the curve. Location is solid and we did enjoy ourselves overall. 4 out of 5 stars.

This is a beautiful home. Very comfortable, excellent pool and jacuzzi. Kitchen was the best equipped I've ever encountered in a rental. Over all, I'd highly recommend this house.
