(If you have time, take a day trip to New Orleans, which is only an hour and 45 minutes away!).

We hope you enjoy your stay and are able to get out and explore the beautiful Gulf Coast during your visit!

The Space:
In 2020, this traditional 3 bedroom, 2 bath home underwent a complete renovation where it was redesigned with stylish finishes and decor. The home was fully refinished with new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a fully stocked kitchen. Three bright and airy bedrooms and two full bathrooms give guests ample room to enjoy their stay.

A small patio off the back of the townhome gives guests a nice outdoor space to grill, lounge and enjoy the spacious backyard.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to a private patio area with a grill and lounge area. Parking is available directly off the side of the home. There is plenty of green space to walk your leashed dog in the front yard and backyard of the home.

The Neighborhood:
Grand Bay, known as the watermelon capital of Alabama, is a small farming community centrally located to many popular Gulf Coast attractions. It is home to the Grand Bay Watermelon Festival held every year on The Fourth of July when the town gathers to celebrate the South’s best-tasting watermelon. Fresh Grand Bay-grown watermelon is served by the slice, and the Watermelon Festival Queen is crowned during the beauty contest. There is also live music and small fair rides for the kids.

There are several local eateries in Grand Bay, including hometown favorite Sams Super Burger that serves American classics, and Kitchen of the Sea, the local food truck that’s often parked in the center of town serving the freshest seafood.

Dauphin Island is a small island situated just off the the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast. Tourists, snow birds and families flock to Dauphin Island year-round for the miles of beaches, the fresh Gulf Coast seafood and world-class deep sea fishing. the Dauphin Island Fishing Rodeo during July brings more than 75,000 spectators to the island for a weekend of fun and sports fishing.

Mobile hosts many events throughout the year, but none compare to Mardi Gras celebrated every spring when tens of thousands join together all around the city for parades, masquerade balls and other fun events surrounding this Southern celebration.

Downtown Mobile has many different attractions that may interest families and tourists, including the USS Alabama battleship docked in Mobile Bay, and Fort Conde, an 18th century fort built by the French during the colonial period. (Both are available to tour.) While you’re exploring downtown, be sure to take a stroll down Dauphin Street to see the old historic buildings of Mobile, many of which are now restaurants featuring the finest Gulf Coast cuisine.

There is no public transportation in Grand Bay, but the home is located less than a two-minute drive to grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations.

we did not stay at this location because of remodeling of the house so we stayed at a different location on rainbow lake rd. it was pet friendly and clean, but the location was not what we expected. In the photo it looked like we were on the lake, but all we seen was the woods and brush.

It really needs alot of attention. Did not like location. Too noisy. Right off road and had train tracks very close. Was not satisfied with this place. Sorry not trying to be ugly just truthful, which is what I look for by reading reviews. I feel the owner really needs to visit their rental.

The property was clean, and the beds were all very comfortable. The location was convenient to Mobile where our son was playing in a baseball tournament.

while everything else was acceptable the bedrooms did not have chests of drawers; they were too small for them. bathroom in master was tiny. the limitations of the layout of the house created all issues we had. the kitchen, laundry, & other rooms were ok. Unfortunately we were there to sleep, bathe, and eat breakfast; leaving at 7am and returning at 9pm. for this reason the place was overpriced for what we needed.

The first house we were were in had both showers unusable. The hall shower ran and couldn’t be cut off. The second shower wouldn’t drain and you were left standing in water. The septic tank top was broken and there was raw sewage above ground. The second house they moved us into had a smoke alarm beeping somewhere in the wall and they couldn’t find it. It beeped every 25 seconds day and night the remaining days we had in our reservation. Property manger basically quit communicating. It was the professionalism of the maintenance people that kept coming back to look for the beeping. Remember this was all during Christmas. Christmas Eve we had maintenance people in the house until almost 1:00’in the morning. And everyday until we left. I have video and pictures of everything. Karen was more interested in her Christmas than fixing the houses’s (yes both houses) issues. Guess our Christmas being ruined didn’t matter. I will never use their properties again. We were in two house and two houses from hell. When we checked out, the alarm was still beeping and there were holes all in the walls where they were looking for the beeps. Fee free to call me at 703-587-7686 if you would like to discuss this. I would never recommend these properties or the property management. In fact, I am reconsidering the whole VBRO concert.
