Easy access. Area was close to downtown, restaurants, things to do, pool was great, insight employee was fabulous in giving advice of “things to do”. Older property that the owner is obviously working to bring up to date. Owner is friendly, easy to contact. We’d go back again.

I am writing a long review because i could only find 2 before I booked. While the property is “near” the movie colony and downtown Palm Springs, it is in a weird neighborhood. It honestly seemed a little sketchy, and had an unmarked clinic right across the street, where people lined up at a window. One person whom arrived early at the clinic peed on the outside of the building. (Someone told us it was a methadone clinic). There are several units around the pool, all rented by long term tenants. There is a unit above the Master bedroom and you can bear every step they take when you’re in the room. Even though I knew the pool was unheated, I wasn’t prepared for how cold it was. The grounds surrounding the pool were very dusty and dirty, so when you got out of the pool your feet or butt(if still wet) got very dirty. The outside space with the table was nice, and it over looked the pool, so it felt like you were in a nicer area than you actually were. The inside could have used a deep clean. A lot of dust bunnies and cobwebs. I’m not sure what the “luxury” furnishings were. The couch was very uncomfortable and squeaky. The beds were comfy, and the unit had all the necessities. It was very roomy and allowed everyone their own space. The host was very responsive. It served its purpose, although I wouldn’t stay here again.

Generally property was nice and in a good location. Unfortunately the pool was unheated (not mentioned in the description) and was unusable. We could have benefited from a cheat sheet that described laundry location (not in-unit) and how to operate heat. On premises manager Sherry was very helpful.

We were in town to visit my husband's sister, so we only slept and ate breakfast at the rental. There were three of us in our party; 68, 67 and 62, so we weren't looking to party. The place was very roomy and private. The room in front had a comfy queen bed with a private bathroom. Our room was in the back with a very comfortable king bed and a private bathroom. In between the two bedrooms was a large living room with ample seating, a dining room table and a well stocked kitchen with every appliance you could imagine. We did not make use of the pool, as we were always at my sister-in-law's place or off hiking and exploring. Outside there was a lovely sitting space with a table, benches and couches and we ate breakfast out there every morning. There were many plants around that made it so pleasant to sit outside and enjoy our meal. The walk to the town was about 3/4 mile, but very enjoyable. We walked to my sister-in-law's several times that week and loved looking at the shops on the way. The Thursday night road closure and fair was fantastic. Lots of vendors and music and a very nice walk. John, the owner, was very responsive when we accidentally locked the wrong lock and he had someone address the situation immediately. He was very nice and helpful and had books about Palm Springs which helped us decide the trails and sites to explore. We live in a very quiet place in CT, so we weren't used to the road noise which was compounded by workmen digging up the pavement at 7:30 every weekday morning, but that could happen anywhere. We never quite got on west coast time anyway, so we were fine. All in all, it was a lovely, clean place to rent with private space for two couples. There was covered parking for your car and another car could fit in the driveway. We enjoyed our visit to Palm Springs. Thank you, John, for the rental.
