Inglenook Cottage has been in our family since 1981 and we have enjoyed almost every major holiday here together, including Christmas and New Year's, Thanksgiving, Easter and July 4th. Our parents retired to this home in the 1990's and we continued to spend many occasions together each year in Montreat as they grew older and spent their golden years in this wonderful community. Although our parents have passed away, this home is their legacy to the grandchildren who spent so much time here with their grandparents...Our home away from home. We come often to spend time together as a family making new memories. We want to invite you and your family (or friends) to experience the wonder of Montreat in our special home and make your own memories.
Great place to stay. Plenty of space for our group.
Wonderful location a few min away from the Montreat Conference Center. Loved our stay.
This is a great house in an excellent location in Montreat. The house has great indoor and outdoor living spaces and the property is in excellent condition. It also has a beautiful first floor master bedroom suite which made the house a great choice for our 3 generation family.
The house was in a great location! Convenient to downtown Black Mountain and everywhere in Montreat. It was very clean and had everything needed. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars on the listing accuracy was that there was what appeared to be a security camera inside of the house in the den area, which wasn't disclosed in the listing that I noticed while we were there.
Loved being in Montreat to visit and celebrate together with family and friends.
This house was so cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
This house was perfect for our needs! 2 families w children stayed comfortably. Kitchen was clean and functional with modern appliances. 2 living rooms and outside deck worked wonderfully for gatherings. We’d stay here again for sure!
Beautiful property and lovely house, very convenient to Montreat and Black Mountain. Enjoyed it very much.
To unwind with family and/or friends and take advantage of all Montreat and Black Mountain have to offer. A lovely home with great outdoor space and great location. Hope to come back again soon!
Molly came to our rescue when another booking fell through because it was not wheelchair accessible. Her quaint Inglenook Cottage was exactly what our group needed for a quick but restful weekend getaway. The home was very clean and well stocked with basic essentials upon arrival. Molly was easy to work with during booking and completely available for any questions during our stay. I hope we can return to her property in the future! As for accessibility, the manual wheelchair user in our group had no difficulty navigating the entire main level of the home. The master bed is quite high, but there is a comfortable sleeper sofa in the den that is considerably lower. The bathroom on the main level has an amply wide door, a roll under sink, and grab bars in the tub/shower (no shower seat/bench). There are no grab bars near the toilet, but our group member brought an adaptive over-the-toilet seat to make transferring easier.
Lovely property. Owner makes you feel at home.
We had the best time staying in Montreat. This house was extremely clean and roomy. The communication with Ms. Molly was warm and personable. Our stay felt like home. We cannot wait to stay again!!!
Second time here - just a great place to stay! Hoping to return next year!
Great Tim at the O’Neal cottage
Great location and beautiful house to accommodate our two families! It was clean, charming with convenient parking and beautiful grounds on the Main Street and close to the beautiful playground and creek! Inglenook is 2 miles from the delicious restaurants in Black Mt, NC The hostess was great!
Beautiful historic home, clean and had everything we could have needed!
This property is all that is described and more! It was super clean, the kitchen was stocked better than my kitchen at home, the beds were comfy and the towels were fluffy. The house was chock full of family memories that enveloped us. It was wonderful. The owner, Molly, was very accessible for questions and issues. (The only issue was my fault! ?). She had little informative notes stuck all around the house that left little doubt as to what was what and where. We definitely hope to return one day!
Everything was as good as it gets!
Here for a nearby family wedding, our crew consisted of 8 adults and one infant and except for the youngest being, the common thread at the end of our stay was that Molly's place was a gem and each of them could see them coming back to Inglenook again. We made use of all the bedding options and the three bathrooms kept our crew on time. The multiple areas for gathering gave everyone space. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Easy to take strolls from the house down to the park, fish in the creek or hike up Look Out Mountain with options to make a longer hike. We walked into town Saturday morning for the tailgate farmer's market and visited breweries in town. We lunched at the Cuban restaurant's outdoor area in the back. We took advantage of the cool nights and opened windows. A quiet, spacious, well stocked mountain house with no downsides to share.
