A beautiful and charming stay on the cliffs above the sound with easy access to the beach just below. The views of the sunset are fantastic. A very relaxing and private stay. I’d love to stay here again
The owners thought of everything. Very organized, clean. Beautiful setting, serene, seemed like we had the beach to ourselves.
We enjoyed our two week stay very much, the house was clean and welcoming.Daniel and Kate made everything easy from the time I booked,.I would rent from them again. Thanks again!
The Beach House was simply amazing. We have previously rented in the Hamptons, and there is nothing that's ever come close to the private setting, views and design of this house. The attention to design details, the inside out living, the large patio for entertaining, the private stairs to a pristine, empty beach... The hosts, Kate & Daniell, who run their own design studio in NYC, could not have been nicer or more efficient in terms of communication. When we arrived, they had printed out a wonderful handbook they designed on the entire area, with curated and tasteful recommendations on the North Fork. The farm stands and wineries were superb, as were the restaurant recommendations. However we found ourselves never wanting to leave the magical property and setting, where we got to watch the sunrise and sunset every day. And when there was a rainy day, nothing was more beautiful than being inside and watching the storm pass over the sound! And the fully renovated basement includes a large TV for movie night, and plenty of boards games for a cosy night in! Our kids are still talking about the stay at 'their beach house' (we wish), and we cannot wait to return.
We spent over a month at the beach house and loved it. Having a private beach to ourselves, with calm water for the kids to swim in everyday, was amazing. The house is designed for inside/outside living, so even when you are inside, you always feel connected to nature and the ocean waters. The house is very well equipped including the kitchen and a large outdoor BBQ (we ate outdoors all the time) and we enjoyed the clean, modern decor. We made the most of the nearby restaurants and wineries, however between the fresh local produce and unique setting of the house, we did enjoyed spending most of the time at the house and on the beach. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a special place to get away from it all in a modern, breezy house, while being minutes away from the charming villages of the North Fork, and less than 25-minutes to the Hamptons. And since I needed to commute to the city for work (leaving the car for my wife and kids to use), it was also convenient to have a Hampton Jitney leave from Aquebogue (less than 5-minute drive from the house)
We were excited to stay at this house based on all the pictures and the private setting we could make out from the listing. However nothing prepared us for our arrival, which was jaw dropping. The house is incredibly private, perched on a bluff overlooking the Sound, with short staircase to the private beach. You can walk miles without encountering anyone. And there is this amazing rock that is literally sitting in front of the house (as thought the house came with the rock). We enjoyed the paddle board at our disposal, and also did a little fishing right off the sound. The house is tastefully decorated (we noticed that the owners NYC home was featured in Dwell, and trusted the taste level to be amazing) and there was ample room for my husband and I, our 4 children and a couple of friends who enjoyed the guest room. The surrounding nature is beautiful. We saw hawks, deer, and even bunny rabbits coming out before the sunsets (out of a postcard). Since we were staying for several weeks, there was some back and forth with Kate (the owner) before we came out, and she was always helpful and quick to respond. It was also clear how much she cares about the experience we would have, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We hope to stay there again soon, it truly was a magical stay and we feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem.
This beach house is nothing short of HEAVEN. Interiors are crisp, sleek and white. The place is as functional inside as it is gorgeous. Three levels, which plays beautifully for guests or a family. We were able to sleep in every morning by putting the kids downstairs in the completely finished basement to watch some TV. As gorgeous as the interiors are, the real star of this place is the exterior. The house defines indoor / outdoor living and you are literally ON the ocean. Every morning you wake up to this incredible view of the ocean, and every evening, spectacular sunsets. The colors change daily - one day the sea being a gorgeous pale blue and the next bordering on crystal navy. A glass of rose on the deck at 7pm pre -dinner is literally magic. Our kids had the time of their lives playing in the flat ocean and climbing the giant rock on the beach. We paddle boarded every day for a little exercise. The owners are lovely and obviously have a young family. Everything is so user friendly and practical. They were super accessible and friendly, giving us tips on what they love to do at the house and the great surrounding restaurants. The house on arrival was immaculate. I almost hesitated to write this review cause I don't want the place to be sold out next time I try to stay - which I intend to be soon!
