Stayed Dec 31, 1969I cannot recommend this house enough. It's spacious, airy and incredibly comfortable. And the view is truly spectacular. I'm not sure which I enjoyed more, sitting on the deck and watching the sunset or waking up to the panoramic view of the woods and the ocean. In the house there are three different sitting areas all stylishly furnished. There is really great original art on all the walls, a pleasant change from the usual reproductions in frames that usually comes with rentals. The house is an unusual shape and some of the rooms have very raked ceilings making them feel much larger than the pictures led us to believe; we were a little concerned they were small but were pleasantly surprised upon or arrival. The beds were all comfortable but I preferred afternoon siestas in the hammock. The downstairs was always perfectly cool, even when it was hot out, my husband liked sit down there to watch TV or work on his computer midday to escape the heat while our daughter and I napped on the deck. Coming from NYC we were delighted at how quiet it was there, the only thing to hear at night was the gentle movement of the sea down below. We were here for the first real heat wave of the summer and the beach was still never crowded. Even through the area and beach were quiet and unpopulated we were still close to shopping, restaurants and farms where our 2 year old was delighted by picking her own strawberries. The hosts were incredibly helpful and made us feel at home before we even arrived. We will definitely be booking this house again. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay!
